N-23 recall took perfectly good transmissions and turned into unreliable Since there has been 2 additional recall programs and they have not worked for more that a few months or the next time you needed to go into low transfer case.

if you go to the jeeofourms.com and put in N23 recall you find 100's of pages of others that have this problem and Jeep has not come with a reliable fix.

I just turned car on went out of driveway ,and 100feet from my drive.The transmission warning went in the display, transTempHot check gauges and went into limp mode.I turned around went back in driveway.Turned off car and looked under hood, looked ok. Tried to restart and turned on as normal.It worked just as before went did my shopping,nothing amiss.Will let you know if it happens again . mJake
