Just wondering if this failure has anything to do with the swirl motor actuator problem reported in a separate post?

I am a student in Alberta, The car was bought by my parents to get me through college. The first week of ownership resulted in a new EGR valve failure, that was after a main Dodge dealership sold me the vehicle with there 150 point inspection before it was sold. The replacement was paid for by the dealer. 13000 Km later it would appear the turbo has failed, the Jeep tech was not sure so I had to wait for some other Tech to confirm the turbo was at fault. During the diagnostic work they replaced the intake tube to prevent, Quote, "possible future swirl valve contamination". The cost quoted by the dealer to replace the Turbo unit was $8000. The vehicle is parked up as being a student I do not have that kind of money. It looks as though I will have to save some cash and buy a remanufactured turbo unit with the actuator and cross my fingers it will last.
Update from Aug 28, 2016: The problem appears to be the turbo actuator, the reason for the cost to repair, is the need to drop the engine to remove the turbo unit. After a little research it appears that the problem is the turbo actuator, your dealer will not sell the actuator without the turbo. There are companies that will rebuild the actuators on an exchange basis for around $200 to $300. The repair takes around 20 minutes, the actuator is tucked into a very tight spot so it takes a little patience but will save you a huge amount of money.
The dealer we bought the vehicle from called 3 days after the car was in for the $8000 dollar quote, we explained that the turbo had failed and that a repair was needed, the very kind salesman said that if we trade to a newer vehicle less than three years old he would still give me a fair trade value. Now I don't have a glass ball but my suspicious mind tells me that they can fix the actuator for the same amount it cost me and make a fast buck. It pays to shop around and do a little research, that's why we have google and youtube.
