problem #1

Oct 222015

Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7L

  • Automatic transmission

I purchased my Jeep in 2015, from a Dealership. They assured me that everything was fine and no problems. Well, how much can you learn from a 5 minute test drive. Not very much. Within a few weeks of purchase, and after a few good rainfalls where I live, I noticed small, then increasing larger and larger water leakage into the interior of my vehicle. It has gotten so bad now that it leaks into the center roof console area, as well as both of the front, side pillars and causing potential electrical short circuits. I have to put on plastic covers over both my fronts seats, and center console, because, even after cleaning drainage tube's, it still leaks very badly. It has discolored all of the fabric within the problem area's, and caused breakdown of the leather-fabric, on both of my front seats. Not to mention the puddle's of water that accumulate on the driver's seat and floor mats. I am a faithful admirer of my beloved Jeep, being the 4th one that I have owned over the past 25 years, but now, I am hesitant to purchase another one. There are too many issue's arising with my most recent purchase, this is just one issue. Others being, the engine shutting down for a few seconds while driving, then re-starting by itself. All of these issue's are now so disheartening to me, that, I will no longer purchase another Jeep. This is just one issue, I have to post others separately.
