How known is it for the ac/heat to go out on any type of 2010 vehicle? This is my 5th vehicle and the last two vehicles this problem had occurred and the last two were Jeep, so what does that say? I know in baseball it's 3 strikes, I'm on two, how coincidental is that to happen to the same guy (me)!
Is it Jeep? Do anyone have the history on Jeep and how importance if it is to the Jeep Corporation of making sure ac/heat is properly working. I know Jeep is an off-road vehicle so does that mean they install a generic brand of ac/heating that's not long lasting for the customer. Meaning they only care about 4x4. If that's the case they should've never made the Jeep a luxury vehicle for the city.
Update from Dec 20, 2012: The repair was going to cost me $900+. I was pissed on a 2010, I was saying to myself "I shouldn't be going thru this, not again!" I had the same problem with the 99 Jeep, that's why I traded it in. My next move was I called Jeep Corp in Detroit and got a hold of some of the "Higher Ups" and put me hold and worked out something with the dealership I bought the truck from. When I called them (the dealership) they told me "half" they would do which was from $900 to $450. I was still upset, so I talked to the guy that sold me the truck and told me to hold on and got a hold of one of the service specialist at the dealership, and he told me to bring the truck in it will only be $200, amazing right! I had to make a few calls, but got the price down.

Had to replace actuator and heater box. It was bad before I bought it. The Jeep was lease vehicle so it was overlooked, by car dealer. Small item but big price tag.
