I bought this POS for a large sum of money and brand new in 2010 and had a tow package installed at the dealer. Straight away i had problems with the wiring so i thought it was the older small trailer i was pulling behind my jeep. Nope, after completely rewiring the damn trailer i found that the wiring kit installed in the tow assembly on my jeep GC was done incorrectly. Furthermore, shortly after that BS discovery i began having issues with the keyless remote which steadily got worse until one day early in the morning, today as a matter of fact, i could not get the jeep to remote start. But wait it gets weirder, after the remote completely failed to work at all (no unlock/lock, tailgate/remote start/panic, nothing),even after i put a new little battery in the remote, i thought to myself no problem ill just use my super handy little valet key conveniently located in the back. Now you can believe this or you cannot but the handy dandy little valet key wouldn't freaking turn when i inserted it into the damn key hole. i swear on my life i could not get simplest of things to work. Finally when the sun came up an hour or two later this morning, after a few calls to my ex Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge dealership, the valet key decided to open the door for me. Now i know what your thinking, believe me i am perfectly capable of working a key in the unlock position. The whole thing could have been avoided if the keyless remote would have worked and it should have worked especially after i put i new battery in. I will NEVER buy another chrysler product again. Good day.
