The driver then realized that she left the key fob inside of the vehicle and the doors were locked. The contact also stated that the vehicle was designed in a manner in which the doors were not supposed to lock unless someone was seated in the driver's seat. The driver had to break the driver's window to enter the vehicle and unlock the doors. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer, but they could not duplicate or diagnose the failure. 2011 Jeep overland has a service bulletin 08-029-10. My vehicle has beenin dealership six times for liftgate not opening when it is in the heat and sun in Arizona. Chrysler acknowledges this will happen when metal on hatch. Reaches 140 degrees which is equivalent to about 100 days in the southwest. Is this a safety hazard and what obligation does Chrysler have? they told me to live with it in the summertime. Chrysler claims nothing can be done to repair no opening liftgate.
