problem #1

Nov 012014

Grand Cherokee V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 33,000 miles

We were planning an extended trip and discovered that the cruise control would not operate. We took it to a dealer and were told that some of the codes had been lost in the history. They reset the codes and used no parts but we were charged $100, deductible, even though they replaced no parts.

We paid a lot of money for this car and buku bucks for the extended bumper to bumper warranty and since it was a computer problem that we had no control over we don't feel we should have been charged anything to reset a couple of codes.

We are retired and felt that this car would service us for the rest of our lives and felt that the extended warranty would get us through any rough spots. So far we have had 3 recalls on this car and feel that we may have a huge lemon on our hands.
