I have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee overland. This car is only 4 years old and all the 4 axles nuts are rested. This could prevent taking some of the mechanical parts off for repair. Chrysler should have issued a recall or a free repair for this.

(overland edition) leather dash covering is loose, called customer assistance and was told that this is not covered and they were sorry, dealer wants $3500 to fix. Vehicle has been in service for less than 4 years.

2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo a P14 recall was received. The consumer was informed the parts were not available and was placed on a waiting list. Also, the sun roof function was inoperative, the leather was separating from the dashboard and the rotors were completely rusted.

The dashboard on my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee overland is currently peeling and is essentially defective. After talking with Jeep and my local dealer about replacement they explained to me that this would not be covered under my warranty and that I would have to pay for this repair on my own.

Dashboard is melting and leather is coming off the dashboard. Less than 10,000 miles over 36,000 and bought a $3,000 5yr 75,0000 mile extended warranty and Jeep would not cover this. Potential safety issue.

This is for a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo (< 6 months old) the Jeep had been parked outside on a warm day. I went to go open the tailgate, and the tailgate only opened part way before stopping. I then nudged the door open so it would go all the way and the glass on the tailgate exploded, cutting two of the people standing behind the vehicle. At that point the tailgate opened all the way and the spoiler at the top came off. I contacted the dealership who submitted pictures to Chrysler. Based on pictures alone, they stated that they could not determine that it was a manufacturer defect and therefore denied my claim to cover under warranty. I was instructed to contact the company customer service line and request that they send someone out to take a look at the car. They never sent anyone else out. Apparently the district manager looked at the pictures and the description of what happened and made the decision to not cover it. Chrysler claimed they couldn't overturn the district manager's decision. They strung me along for 2 weeks over the phone to tell me this. There is really no other reason than a defect that would cause this to occur.
