Since we purchased the Jeep, the passenger seat belt occasionally locks up. If you unbuckle the belt and let it fully retract, it will then function properly for a while. We just put up with it for a while, but then took it to the dealer for warranty repair. The dealer has replaced the seatbelt assy twice, without resolving the problem.

We have told the dealer service dept multiple times that there must be some sort of problem, but of course it never happens when the Jeep is in the service bay.

My wife (the usual occupant of the passenger seat) is REALLY pissed about it after nearly 6 years, . . .

but if the dealership can't fix it, taking it back again and again is kind of a waste of time and money so we live with it. Sometimes it will be 3 or 4 times in rapid succession, other times we go a long time without a problem.

FYI - no, she doesn't pull it out too far. We have dealt with that excuse from the dealer and it kind of wears thin after a while.
