My 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee had issue with misfire #4 cylinder causing engine check light to stay on & it failed inspection. It was at the dealership 6 weeks waiting on parts & for repair (I had to rent a car the first 4 weeks before they let me get a loaner). When I got it back the service dept employees were very rude to me, making comments how "everybody wants something for nothing" stating my part was very expensive & I should consider myself lucky they were finally able to obtain it.
My car is still missing mostly during idle worse than ever! It also is harder to start, often turns over several times before it starts & then its flooded & I can smell the gas. I fear it will catch fire some days. The check engine light stays off now but I wont know if it will pass inspection until its time to take it in again to get my tag later this winter. I'm honestly scared to take it back to the dealership where I bought it because of how long they had it, how poorly they treated me & its still not running like it should. I don't know what to do except keep driving it & hope it doesn't break down on me, catch fire or fail inspection again. I still owe a lot of money on it & I feel totally cheated, ripped off!
I love my Jeep but I doubt I will ever buy another one or any Chrysler product after this nightmare! I'm 60 years old still working full time as a nurse in a nursing home & I cannot afford to buy another car while I'm making payments on this one. The car lots lie to sell you a car you expect will be dependable then leave you hanging when its time to honor their product. There should be a law against it! I'm very frustrated, fearful, & feel totally powerless & victimized.
