Email 1 of 2 attached is the email I sent to Chrysler. Please help. [xxx] from: [xxx] date: December 4, 2019 at 11:12:21 am est to: Us customer care , [xxx] subject: [xxx] case number [xxx] [ ref:_00dj01qsdf._5003zzc7yl:ref ] recall 18V-813 recall info attached below my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee VIN# [xxx] was towed to route 46 Jeep in little falls, NJ 4 days ago on 11/30/19. My Jeep stopped in the middle of the highway sat evening, I was not able to pull over to the shoulder, I was on a steep curve with cars flying by beeping at me. It was terrifying and is a serious safety issue. It was determined and diagnosed by the dealership that this is due to the current recall out. My car is not driveable until this recall is remedied and the dealership informed me that they do not have the parts to repair my truck. It is disgraceful that you would allow me as a customer to be put in this type of situation, not even offering me a loaner car. I have been having to pay to uber to work, to physical therapy and to breast cancer treatment. This fuel pump related recall was issued over a month ago. If you are unable to repair an active recall, then you need to find an alternate resolution for me as the customer. To make matters worse I'm told if I pay for my recall it can be repaired with existing defective parts until the recall parts become available and being told I can attempt to collect my money back from corporate. This is unacceptable. Being that no one is able to provide me with resolution, here are my proposed solutions: Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Hello, was hoping you could guide me. I have been having issues with my Jeep shutting off while driving. I could be on the freeway at a light or exiting the freeway and it shuts off. This issue has been going since the end of 2016. I decided to take it to another dealer they now say they have found a problem, but now Jeep is saying since I am over my miles they cannot cover the charges. Can you please help?

In late August 2017, we began to experience intermittent failures of the fuel pump manifested by difficulty starting the engine and engine cutouts at highway speeds (I.e., the same issues that required the R09/NHTSA 15V-115 safety recall). Within days, the engine would start at all and the car had to be towed. Ultimately, it was determined that the external fuel pump relay installed as part of the recall and the fuel pump itself were defective and had to be replaced.

Multiple incidents - stopped at corner heading uphill. Happened to touch both brake and gas pedals at the same time. I found that when going into the intersection at the change of light, no gas (propulsion) for approx. 5 seconds. Complained to service mgr. He advised he had heard this before and would contact Chrysler. Never heard from him again. Over the two years this problem occurred about 4 times. I have since been told that Nissan has also engineered this into their cars as if this makes it right.

This Jeep has remote key-less entry/engine start. The engine cannot be turned off unless the gear shift is in park. If the throttle stays open causing unintended acceleration, one cannot turn the engine off. This could result in one or more deaths and/or serious injury! if one had an accident causing the engine to rev up due to a jammed gas pedal, how do one turn it off" Chrysler customer service was contacted about this issue and their response was "the characteristic you describe, however, is a function of your vehicle's design and there is nothing that can be done to ?fix" the condition." Reference number: Email case number: Supplied upon request. In other words they don't care about this safety issue! I have another car that can have the engine turned off, but it is a standard transmission. Madza's can be turned off while in drive with automatic transmissions. This Jeep was purchased in the usa.

Problem developed just after 10,000 miles with mild vibration on acceleration. Problem persisted and got worse. I had vehicle checked by dealer and head mechanic at 15,000 when in for oil change. Definitely was a problem, took a day to diagnose with help from Jeep. /Chrysler said it was failure of the transfer case/drivetrain control module. It took from June 25 until August 19 to obtain new module. During that time vehicle vibration worsened further requiring backing off on acceleration and then continuing acceleration to get up to highway speed. Very much like riding on a bad washboard road plus noise coming from under front and then additional noise from rear. When going up moderate inclines back end began strongly vibrating to the point where it felt back end was going to start hopping plus a clunk noise. Backing down acceleration and then reaccelerating would lessen problem but still made vibration. Final cause after repair: Cause listed as broken propeller shaft with universal joints, replaced transfer case to rear axle; replace rear prop shaft due to carrier bearing failure causing vibration; replace final drive control module per diagnosis for shuttering in driveline. Vehicle has 17,578 miles at repair completion. Problem appears fixed in the first 500 miles I have driven since repair.
