About These NHTSA Complaints:
The NHTSA is the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints can be spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem. See the Back button — blue bar at the very top of the page — to explore more.
The contact owns a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the push button start hesitated at times. After a second attempt, the vehicle was able to start, but the failure progressed without warning. The contact also stated that there was excessive fog and that the vent controls were not functioning properly. The failure was reported to the dealer and they were not able to replicate and diagnose the failure. The dealer indicated that they performed the repairs for NHTSA campaign numbers: 14V391000 (electrical system) and 14V634000 (electrical system), but provided no confirmation. The dealer only stated that these two of the four recalls were performed and that they did not know when the other two recalls would be performed. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 14V154000 (service brakes, service brakes, hydraulic) and 15V115000 (electrical system) and the dealer did not give a specific date for when the parts would become available. The manufacturer could not provide an estimated date for the two recall repairs. The failure mileage was not available. MA 10/5 updated 11/07/2017

Due to passenger blender door being stuck, no heat circulates on passenger side...causes windshield to freeze up making visibility almost impossible on that side in freezing weather conditions esp. On highway at ordinary speeds. Several people have addressed this on the internet..should be a recall item for safety purposes.
