Poor design for gear selector. I often find that I'm not in the gear I thought I was. Very poor tactile feedback.

There is no tactile feed back from the gear shifter. It's spring loaded so it returns to the center position after a gear or Park or Neutral is selected. So you have to verify that the vehicle is in or out of gear by seeing the indicator light on the dash or the shifter. There is no specific spot for "Drive" or "Park or "Reverse" it's just a push or a pull in the right direction and pressure depending on what mode your transmission is in. Too much pressure from Drive to Reverse and you end up in Park, not enough and your in Neutral, push again with a little too much and Park, pull back maybe Reverse, Neutral or even back to Drive.
I was told I'd get used to it. It's been over a year and the only thing I've gotten used to is the frustration of the aforementioned cycle of shift selection. Once it's moving in the right direction I love it.

They send out a recall for the issue and when you call the customer care number, the customer care person just tells you what you already know and you have out of pocket repairs. Then that is your business and not the concern of the manufacturer even though they knew of the issue.
