The phone connect button on the steering wheel is very sensitive, merely brushing hand over it while turning will start the loud "voice" stating "There is no phone connected. Connect a phone and try again." This sometimes occurs while in "heavy" traffic and is very distracting. I do not want to connect a phone, I do not believe in using one, even hands free, while driving. I would like to know how to disconnect or render the button non-operating to remove the distraction before the sudden "voice" causes an accident. My dealer is unable to tell me how it may be disconnected. I have tried to reduce the volume but have not been able to change it at all since it is not controlled by the radio volume. I asked the dealer if removing a fuse would do the job, but he told me that might make something else work incorrectly.
