Jeep has stated to the media that they are following the SAE J2807 towing test standards which say they tested the vehicle towing 7400 lbs. up Davis dam hill or Eisenhower hill at 100 degrees outside temp and air conditioning on full maintaining minimum 50mph.
When towing half of that weight at lower outside temperatures up those same hills, the vehicle goes into the orange area and overheats.
Jeep is not doing anything about the problem and is just claiming the vehicle is running as it was designed to.
Jeep needs to quit lying to the public just to sell vehicles and they need to fix problems they created.
