Grand Cherokee Overland 5.7L V8

The water pump was on back order so I had to leave the vehicle at the dealer while they searched for the replacement. In the meantime since they do not have loaner vehicles I had to rent a car for a week which I had to pay out of my own pocket because rental reimbursements is not covered by the warranty.

water pump replaced at 35,000 miles. backordered by chrysler

I''m really baffled by it taking Chrysler 2 weeks to get the water pump replaced for my 2014 GR/ C Hemi . The pump is on back order.....Service tech told me it could take up to 2 more weeks to get out of shop. Took it in on Oct. 15,2016. It's covered under the "power train warranty" ? They have supplied a rental. But what's up with water pump going out now ? And what's up with it back ordered ??
