On March 6, 2025 I got my Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo lift gate serviced and had the rear hatch strut and motorized hatch strut replaced at Southern Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram Fiat Alfa Romero on 2747 N. Military Highway, Norfolk, Va 23518. One year and three months later the lift gate began to malfunction. I called the dealership about the warranty and they stated that sincr it had been a year that it would not be covered. It’s now July 3rd, 2026 and I’m now stationed in Guam having to pay $1328 to get the power lift gate replaced due to the faulty parts that were installed on my Jeep in 2026. I feel like the warranty should have been more than just one year or 10,000 miles, it could have been 2-3 years. These parts are expensive and labor is even more expensive to have to continue to spend large sums of money on replacement parts.
