Gas door freezes to gasket everytime we wash vehicle or have freezing rain.
Remote popper is not strong enough to pop it open.
We have pulled off the gas door cover trying to pry it open and half of the tabs are now broken

The fuel door on my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee freezes shut every time it gets below 33 degrees outside. I tried everything the manual said to open the door (i.e. push gently on edge of door to break ice, use manual latch) but the last time it froze up, nothing worked and I could NOT get it open. My husband finally was able to pry it open but broke the cover off doing it. Chrysler won't cover it because they said it's not a warranty issue. It's going to cost me over $500 to have it fixed because I can't just replace the cap, I have to replace the interior part as well. This is bullcrap!
