problem #1

Jun 202016

Grand Cherokee Alltitude V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 160 miles

Vehicle began overheating at 160 miles, dealership flushed system and replaced fluids. Two days later it began overheating again, again flushed system replaced fluids. I requested that they drive the vehicle more than just around the building, after driving for an extended period they determined there was a problem(no crap)! Called in a Jeep Technician (specialist). It was determined that the left side heads where "incorrectly installed" and needed to be replaced. 7 days later I recvd my "fixed vehicle" I drove it for approximately two more weeks and began hearing "sloshing" in the heater core. I contacted my service tech and was asked to bring the vehicle in. This being the fourth trip to the service center I also contacted Jeep's corporate office and filed a complaint (didn't get a response but what the h@%%). It was determined that we still had a problem with overheating/heads. The service manager was able to get a new motor "approved" for me on this final visit. I was without it for a total of 40 days before repair was completed. It was a real pain in the a$$!
