Driving my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, in Oct 2021 and this weekend, slipped into neutral while driving on the highway at 50+ mph and wouldnt shift back into drive. displaying the message 'VEHICLE SPEED IS TOO HIGH TO SHIFT' while at full stop Stop sign Both times trying to restart it, the engine would rev violently and shut off, only to restart after a few minutes and drive as normal. Both times in high moving traffic, narrowly avoiding traffic. The 2nd time I was on the NY Triboro bridge and used road flares to alert traffic Called the dealer and they claimed to have never heard of this before. Couldnt find any issues or replicate the issue. attached are several issues of other drivers having the same issue and still @Jeepc laims no knowledge. Does someone have to die to fix this issue

The part that failed is identified as the Oil Cooler, I will request the dealer provide the defective unit. The part number for the Oil Cooler 68211323AB. There are two areas that would pose a safety concern when the Oil Cooler fails. When the Oil Cooler fails, oil is let into the cooling system. The oil level continues to fall to a point where it is very likely the engine will seize. There is no check engine indicator, the oil temperature indicator shows no rise in temperature. You would not know that there is any problem, If that happens while the vehicle is in motion it could prove to put occupants in jeopardy of injury. The second area of concern, as the oil bleeds into the cooling system it is unable to adjust for the additional fluid. The cooling system reservoir fills up and begins to overflow each time the vehicle is started and driven. The reservoir overflow is in the front right side of the engine compartment. When car is parked the oil flows on to everything that is below it. But when the car is in motion the oil covers the right side of the engine compartment. The result of the overflow could lead to a fire in the engine compartment, Oil on the rotor and brake could result in the malfunction of the brake mechanism. With oil in the cooling system the smell of diesel is very strong in the passage compartment. This may, lead to headaches, nausea, and eye irritation. The dealer did confirm the problem and provided a quote of $8600 to repair. The car has been inspected by and independent mechanic and the dealer-??s mechanic. As noted earlier there was no warning that a problem was occurring. The first sign of a problem was on the 17th of September. A large oil spill in my garage.

I have been having trouble putting fuel in my car since I bought it. I was told that this was just a problem with Jeep Grand Cherokee xj. Because it is difficult to fuel up, twice I have sprayed fuel all over myself and once I had the rents myself with water. My warning light is a now on. Now the capless fuel cap assembly came off while I was feeling. This is very dangerous. I don't know if I can feel up anymore making the car useless until repaired

This 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee ecodiesel has an open recall for the egr system (recall W79). On December 29, 2020, the malfunction indicator light came on. I called the dealer (turnersville Jeep) for an appointment on Monday, January 4, 2021. The first available appointment was on Tuesday, January 12 2021. This dealer kept the vehicle until Friday, January 15. This dealer declined to repair the egr system under the W79 recall, but did replace all fuel injectors and the fuel tubes after finding the fuel injectors restricted. This dealer then cleared the dtc P026C-00 and performed a stationary regeneration. I picked the vehicle up at 5:15 pm on Friday, January 15, 2021 and proceeded to road test the vehicle. After about 75 miles of driving, I suffered a exteme and sudden loss of power at approximately 7:30 pm; the dash indicators included the malfunction indicator lamp, an error regarding the throttle body, and an error that the oil pressure was low. As I coasted to a stop, smoke began to rapidly pour from the hood cover and began to enter the cabin through the HVAC vents. I vacated the vehicle immediately and under some duress. The smoke continued to billow from the engine area of the vehicle and I could see it continue to enter the cabin. At approximately 9:00 pm on January 15, the vehicle was delivered by flatbed to pellegrino Jeep. I spoke with the pellegrino Jeep service department on Saturday, January 16, 2021, but they were unable to provide a commitment to examine the vehicle. I opened case #78239258 with fca (Jeep) us llc customer service. As of January 20 at 11:30 am, I do not have feedback on this case. The dealer has also provided no commitment to examine the vehicle. I believe this vehicle suffered a failure due to the inability of fca and it's dealers to remediate recall W79.

I have been alerted to two (2) safety recalls which may lead to bodily harm or even death. The manufacturer states that "the remedy for this condition is not yet available". so, each time I use this vehicle, I am exposing myself and any passengers to potentially grave danger. This is unacceptable. The manufacturer must be given a finite time period to either remedy the problem or repurchase the vehicle, from the legal owner. Recalls as follows: Aug 13,2020 manufacturer recall numberw58 NHTSA recall number20V-475 recall statusrecall incomplete, remedy not yet available Nov 12,2020 manufacturer recall numberw79 NHTSA recall number20V-699 recall statusrecall incomplete, remedy not yet available

I got a service engine soon light. When I took it to the dealer they said it was purge valve on the evaporator system. I encounter the same problem on my 2014 Dodge durango at the same mileage. I think Chrysler has a systemic problem with this part of their emission system.

Since the recall a year ago (spring 2019) the vehicle has a serious hesitation in the throttle response until the ecodiesel engine reaches full operating temperature. This creates a serious safety hazard. The fuel mileage has dropped a minimum of 4 mpg. I received a second notice (12/10) regarding an "approved emissions modification disclosure 3.0L diesel" the local dealer was unaware and stated it was the previous recall. I called "fca" (Jeep) and was informed that this was the precurser to another recall. The only identifying numbers I have are "FC106038" and "****auto* for aadc 030 7/1/2" marked on the notice. This is a serious problem that needs a fix of some sort. The cure for the original recall seems to be worse than the original problem. The original recall repair was performed 9/17/19.

The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the engine failed to start. The only indicator illuminated on the instrument panel was the "service electric brake system". the contact also stated that the passenger side headlight blinker failed to operate. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who replaced the fuel pump, body control module, and computer. The repair did not correct the failure. The vehicle was towed to Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat of bay ridge (8825 5th ave, brooklyn, NY 11209-5901) where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump connector failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted. The contact stated that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 19V813000 (electrical system). The approximate failure mileage was 114,000.

When first starting the car it would stumble & stall & stop. After a number of starts it would keep running if I kept my foot on the gas pedal. Finally it was running so it could be driven home, but at times it would stumble & stall, at at time almost no acceleration. I had to keep 1 foot on the gas pedal to keep the car running. The car was taken to a repair shop, where it remains. The trouble was diagnosed a fuel pump failure. Previous model Jeep have had the same problem and were recalled

My check engine light came on in my vehicle on morning while I was pulling out of my garage. So, I called the dealership and they said that I could get a free diagnostic test from one of the auto stores. I went to O'reilly's, which is a store that sell auto supplies & parts, and they diagnosed a problem with the fuel system. I took the vehicle to the dealership and was told that it was the fuel relay. The dealership kept the vehicle for a few days to do the repair. I would like to go on record in case this vehicle's manufactured year needs to be included in the current recall.

Previously entered complaint regarding cold throttle/turbo lag of 3-5 seconds which is dangerous for pulling into traffic and almost causing accidents but this is not limited to cold vehicles. The lag is shorter but evident when warm. I have had several incidents of hitting the lag while trying to turn in an intersection and there is a "flat spot" lag of 2 -3 seconds. Pressing the gas pedal in stop and go traffic can cause a lag then surge forward. I have almost hit the car in front of me several times and had difficulty switching lanes because I get the nose of the vehicle turned into another lane then it does not move causing near collusions then surges forward. This is extremely dangerous and I am beginning to be frightened of driving this vehicle for even the shortest of times.

Since the last recall for the Jeep eco deisel the system has been running the deisel exhaust regeneration at least once a week (8 times in 7 weeks since the recall update was performed). I took it to the dealership again, they performed a manual regeneration and this did not solve the problem, it started it again a week later. This means I have to drive my car at highway speeds for at least 10-15 minutes to get it to shut off (even though it doesn't actually regenerate the filter) and my engine is overworking and lagging. The dealership said it is a software problem that since the recall everyone with the Jeep eco diesels is complaining of.
