This problem didn't occur right away. When you open the lift gate, on the left side there are two plastic trim pieces that come together. These two pieces have popped out and will not go back into place. This occurred a few weeks ago when we started to have outdoor temps in the upper 90's. Made the dealership aware of the problem and said they would fix the issue but since the Jeep is currently in the shop for possible transmission replacement, the interior fix is on the back burner.
