This problem really started on 08/23/19. I started the car, with the engine running rough, the check engine light illuminated, and slight vibration at start up and faint odor of antifreeze. Car temp stays within normal range, it does not overheat. I took the car to dealership service department on 08/24/19, they diagnosed it as fouled plugs, and a cylinder 3 misfire. I replaced plugs and ignition coil for total of $751.48 and was assured problem fixed. I left dealership, drove approximately 20 miles and car stopped dead in middle of intersection. I had it towed back to dealership, discovered a fuel line that was not securely reattached during repairs and had worked its way loose while driving. The line was reattached and I left dealership.
14 days later on 09/07/19, I start the vehicle and the vehicle begins to run rough. The check engine light is illuminated and there is a faint odor of antifreeze. I take it directly to same dealership service department, where they diagnose problem as a blown head gasket. At this point I inquire why this wasn't diagnosed 14 days ago, and get no reply. I authorize repairs, which are completed on 09/20/19. Car runs fine until 11/22/19, when I notice a strong odor of anti-freeze, and the car temperature begins to overheat sporadically while driving. I take the car directly back to same dealership on same day, 11/22/19, where they diagnose problem as a "pinhole" leak in EGR Inlet Aluminum Hose, which they replace as a "goodwill gesture" for $184.26.
