Water pump is leaking and must be replaced on 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 3.6L V6. This will be the FOURTH water pump since last July. It was replaced under warranty in July 2019, replaced again two weeks later and replaced a third time in March 2020. Now it needs to be replaced AGAIN.
Naturally, I'm 1,200 miles from home and the Jeep dealer cannot find a replacement water pump for at least five weeks at the earliest. The service manager said I'm obviously not the only person with this issue as the pump has been redesigned four times and they cannot keep them in stock. I've looked for aftermarket water pumps or even a used pump. No joy.
I've owned seven Jeeps and currently have two but this might be my last. The only obvious solution is to trade this vehicle as soon as possible. I've talked to other Jeep owners and they're all baffled by the issue.

I have bought this jeep with one previous owner an only at 18,000 miles on it and I had to replace the A/C and all things related to the A/C and that cost me $5,200. Now we are just a month since fixing the A/C and the water pump has to be replaced and it is on back order. I make a monthly payment and still have to pay to fix it. I know I am not alone, because the lady I work with has the same 2018 Jeep and is having the same problems as me, but just her Jeep has a few more miles than mine.
