Upon vehicle start-up, the Uconnect screen will freeze up. Placing the vehicle into reverse, the back-up camera is not shown. During the issue, the screen could be frozen/not responsive, or a blue screen. This concern has been an ongoing issue for some time now. It seems to be getting more frequent recently.

I have noticed the upper edge on my radio screen appears to the bubbling or separating from itself. It has recently become worse and causes "touches" on the screen. It makes calls and ends calls, switches the screen on and off, changes heating settings, disconnects devices, changes or cancels navigation. It makes it very difficult to drive as I cannot turn the screen off.

The car keeps saying the turn signals are out when they all function properly. The car is equipped with the LED factory headlight systems. When it thinks the bulb is out it makes everything flash or turn off so other drivers can-??t see your signal. Several other users are also reporting issues online. Dealer says the only way to fix is an entirely new head light assembly at $1300 since the turn signal bulbs are built into the headlight and should be a lifetime part.

I have a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the screen is delaminating and now my screen is completely black. I cannot do anything on my screen which controls everything in my car. I'm unable to have my heat or air come out of anything except defrost. I had the heat on to defrost my windshield, and it kept switching to a cold setting causing my windows to not defrost. My car will randomly call people from my contacts list or if I'm on a call will place it on hold or mute. When a feature is supposed to help with distracted driving this is doing anything but that and causes all drives to be very distracting. The temperature of my vehicle is constantly switching because of the screen issues. Before my screen went completely black if I was using GPS it would randomly switch my location sometimes to a different continent again causing for a very distracting and unsafe drive because I didn't know where I was going and had to fumble around to find my phone so I could get my maps and not make a wrong turn. I'm thankful a serious accident hasn't occurred yet because of this distraction but if it does Jeep will be taking responsibility. I have called a jeep dealership and states jeep is saying sorry about you, absolutely unacceptable. There is no warning when this happens it starts out as slow minor things happening and is now extremely unsafe to drive because of the distractions it causes. Not to mention no back up camera for that extra step of safety.

I have videos, but my cars electrical system keeps glitching, It will turn my heated seats on to the pint they burn me, it connects to my phone and will randomly call anyone in my contacts, it changes radio stations, messes with my automatic start, took my traction control off and does this on a regular basis. I had this system fixed in March of 2023 just after I bought the car but it-??s already doing it again. It also will randomly just cut off when I-??m driving and then will be fine very randomly. - I will have to send you the videos I took it says they are too large to upload here

The 2018 Jeep Grand Cheeroke Uconnect/Radio screen delaminates and causes the unit to make all kinds of error calls, GPS location changes and disabling events, without being touched. This is a serious safety concern and that Jeep or Stellantis should voluntarily recall these units for replacement. The driver's attention gets constantly divided to take care of these extra things while driving.

The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the back-over prevention APP independently uninstalled. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle had not been started in eight days. In addition, the stabili-trak warning light had illuminated a month prior, which was the initial failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a failed transfer case. The contact was informed that the transfer case needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to two additional dealers for confirmation; however, the failure was not duplicated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact stated that the failure might be related to the UCONNECT connection. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 88,727.

The radio in this vehicle has a widespread issue where the screen delaminates and starts ghost touching. Options are randomly selected, people are randomly called, emergency services are attempted to be contacted. Basically anything that the radio controls in the car could be changed or activated. This is extremely distracting and could cause someone to take their focus off the road and cause an accident. The radio controls heater, navigation, seat heaters, phone calls, steering wheel heaters, and many other functions in the car some of which cannot be changed without the malfunctioning radio being on. Fixing this issue is somewhere in the range of $1300 at the dealership. I feel like this is and important safety issue that causes a lot of distraction when driving the vehicle and is really difficult to work around or avoid as the random screen touches are not predictable and seem to happen at random times.

CAM shaft and yes it is available to be looked at. The vehicle was misdiagnosed multiple times and sent back home with the same error code while fixing other items that were not the root cause of the issue. The engine light was on with the misfire code when I brought it in and was repeatedly sent home and within 20 miles the same code returned.

My 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland is experiencing serious electrical malfunctions related to the Uconnect radio head unit. This component appears to control or influence multiple vehicle systems beyond just audio, including climate control, backup camera, navigation, and possibly driver assistance features. The system malfunctions frequently and erratically -?" settings change on their own, the screen goes black or freezes, and controls become unresponsive while driving. These distractions create a serious safety hazard, as I am forced to take my attention off the road to regain control of basic functions like defrost or audio volume. I have discovered that this issue is widely reported by thousands of Jeep owners from this model year and earlier, particularly those with Uconnect systems. Jeep has refused to address or recall the problem despite it clearly impacting driving safety and vehicle usability. This malfunction significantly impairs my ability to operate the vehicle safely. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this issue as a potential safety defect. I have taken my car to the dealership and was advised that the whole radio unit needs to be completely replace. I have contacted Jeep and inquired about it, they told me they are aware of the issue but at this time, unless the car is under warranty, they do not offer any financial assistance. And it is a rather expensive issue to fix considering there is no fault of the car owners that the items installed in their vehicles are faulty.

Urgent Safety Concern Regarding Defective Uconnect Radio System Shortly after purchasing my vehicle from Bertera in Westfield, Massachusetts, I began experiencing issues with the radio and related components-?"namely, erratic or "ghost" activity. I returned the vehicle to the dealership on multiple occasions; however, because the issue failed to replicate while in their possession, they were unable to offer any resolution. The problem persisted intermittently, but escalated significantly during a visit to Logan Airport. While curbside, the vehicle began behaving erratically: the exterior lights flashed, doors locked unexpectedly, heated seats activated, windows became unresponsive, and the vehicle could not be exited-?"even when approached by a security officer. After powering down and waiting for several minutes (with permission from security, as we exceeded our time limit), the system reset.Despite this dangerous scenario, the dealership again reported they could not reproduce the issue and offered no corrective action. On June 11, in preparation for a trip to Boston, I brought the vehicle to Bedard Brothers in Cheshire, Massachusetts-?"a certified Jeep dealership. Their technician determined the radio screen was delaminated and causing unintended inputs. They informed me that since my warranty had expired, the repair would cost more than $1,400. On [XXX], during travel to Massachusetts General Hospital, the malfunction occurred again: the heated seats engaged and would not turn off (despite temperatures nearing 90?F), the radio volume spiked uncontrollably, and the prior array of electronic malfunctions returned. Fortunately, I was able to attend the appointment and make it home safely. I have contacted Stellantis, Uconnect, and the Massachusetts Attorney General-??s Office. While Stellantis expressed sympathy, they stated they could not offer assistance. My research has revealed multiple similar complaints from other vehicle owners. Any help greatly appreciated. I purchased a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee on [XXX] unaware that the vehicle was subject to a federal safety recall and stop-sale order. The recall (NHTSA 24V-838 / Manufacturer 94B) was issued on November 7, 2024, for a defect in the ABS control module that may disable the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and cause unintended vehicle movement even while stationary. A stop-sale order (VIR 2024-11-14) was issued by Stellantis on November 14, 2024, prohibiting the sale or delivery of affected vehicles until repaired. Despite this, the dealership sold me the vehicle while the recall was still open and unrepaired. In the months following my purchase, I began experiencing issues with the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC). On June 15, 2025, I paid $770 out-of-pocket for ETC sensor repairs after a loss of throttle response. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, but this defect may be linked to the broader electronic issues cited in the recall. No warning lights appeared in advance. I have been driving this vehicle daily without knowing it could malfunction in a way that puts myself and others at risk. I only learned of the recall on June 22, 2025, when I searched the VIN through NHTSA-??s database. This has caused emotional distress, financial harm, and a complete loss of trust in the vehicle-??s safety. I am seeking appropriate accountability for the illegal sale of this recalled vehicle and want to ensure others are not put in similar danger. I was driving my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 on the highway at approximately 65-70 MPH, when suddenly the car started sputtering and my check engine light came on and started blinking. The car was essentially not drivable, so I pulled over at a gas station and had the car towed. This is dangerous as I was going uphill, and could have caused an accident, or worse. I did not have a check engine light prior to this! The next day the car was inspected and diagnosed by independent service center, who said there was a cylinder 4 engine misfire, so they replaced the spark plugs and the coils. Car was fixed, or so I thought, fast forward a couple months later while driving to work, same issue (misfires and sputtering) occurs again and coolant now runs low even though there are no visible signs of coolant leakage. I spoke to the independent service center and they mentioned there might be an issue with the engine such as a head gasket or fuel system. I got the Jeep towed to get checked, it was confirmed that it was an engine issue, especially the head gasket, camshaft, pistons, and lifters, and that I was going to need a new engine and it would cost between $8500 - 13000. My Jeep has approximately 83K miles. The issues I describe here with this engine are all similar to those that have been reported.

The 2018 grand Cherokee has issues with mother board and electrical ghosts. 1st it was headlights and dome lights. they would flicker. i had to change the front lights 2x in a year. i thought this was odd. never did this with any car before. then I was driving home from work during rush hour and it started to rain. started the wipers front and back. the back wiper started and went halfway and got stuck. what happen? the front wipers went on for several revolutions (say 10-20 ) then stopped. started again. then stopped again. the rain intensity grew. Now the -wipers would only work when turned in opposite direction (the manual 1 pass move). this happened as i was trying to get home and stuck bumper to bumper on [XXX]. on this dangerous highway in middle of now a torrential downpour the front wipers now decided it wouldn't work AT ALL. i couldn't see anything and veered off to the shoulder thank god - waiting for rain to stop and then safely proceeded home. the next day the wipers worked. no check engine or anything. this goes on for a week or so with no issue. then out of nowhere the driver seat decides it has a mind of its own and pushes me all the way to the steering column. it wouldn't return when pushing the back button. i had to drive like that for my trip and then it magically went back upon restart. i take to dealer. pump motors bad on front and back. i say not sure your correct and explain. motor changed on front. not fixed. ok we think its the BCM. changed not fixed. finally the PDM was changed and wow it worked. 2 weeks at dealer and this shows that this issue with the control module is certainly risking peoples safety. i hope Jeep does the right thing and prevents a serious catastrophic event. read on the jeep electric issues and my vehicle had a previous "corrected" recall for Electrical Cruise Control. I dont think the fireware updates or software changes fixed all the bugs. be safe out there jeep INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FO

The main screen in the vehicle delaminated and caused quite a number of issues. Heated seats would randomly turn on and off and the temp on gbe seats would not go down, phone would call people over and over including 911, compartment heat would randomly turn on the highest setting and would not turn down, goo like substance came out of screen into the storage compartment below the screen, getting all over items stored. The radio would constantly change stations. All the issues became true safety hazards. I called their 800# and was referred to a dealer who charged me over $1000 with no remorse from Jeep. I am a 25 year owner of jeeps and not too pleased with the lack of response from Jeep. My next car will not be a Jeep!

Uconnect 8.4" infotainment screen is delaminating. This causes the touch screen to randomly press buttons during driving. This can make calls to contacts, or emergency numbers during driving. This can change settings at random during driving like seating heat, radio stations, other vehicles settings such as drive assistant software, turning on and off, blind spot notifications, lane assist, etc. Very distracting for a driver to continue to try and drive while focusing on what just happened or what was just changed. If your phone is connected to the device, it can call 911, or other contacts change volume setting, get stuck to where you can't change them. gain very distract and a safety concern. It is a well know issue with this model. This issue is no longer being fixed by service center or dealer without a 1500-2500$ service fee. This seem like a manufacturing defect and major safety concern while driving.
