I called our dealership to schedule the repair for this recall; they indicated that parts have been back ordered and they are only getting one part per week to accomplish repairs. They have a waiting list established on which I am number 62, which at the current rate of receipt of parts, I would be waiting for about 15 months to get the recall repair completed. For a recall that could potentially cause a crash without warning, this seems like something that should be addressed more quickly than 15 months.

My safety is at risk driving this vehicle. There is an open recall stating you may lose steering without prior warning. This has been going on for over 1 month and still there is no remedy to fix this issue. This is out of control and needs to be fixed now before somebody gets hurt! (I'm not currently driving this vehicle because the risk is so high yet no dealer or Chrysler themselves will help me. They both told me I should continue to drive the vehicle.)

Most Dashboard Electronics FAILED and are available for inspection Steering wheel red light symbol came on and I LOST Power Steering ! Red Triangle Safety symbol turned on Hybrid Electric Vehicle Failure ABS Brake symbol, Loss of brakes Hybrid Service light Engine service symbol Red battery light symbol, Battery power unavailable While driving the speed limit (25mph) in my Village with pedestrians crossing the street and traffic around me, the Jeep 4xe experienced a Cascading Electronic failure with the power steering; brakes; engine power and most electronic functions with the dashboard lighting up every symbol on the screen. I LOST COMPLETE CONTROL In order to regain control of the moving vehicle, I had to FORCE the steering wheel to turn into a Handicap space in front of me while attempting to brake at the same time. I was able to avoid the pedestrians and cars around me as well as the parked car next to me, without causing any damage to myself or those in the vicinity. If I was traveling on the Freeway, loading onto my local Ferry or driving on a major Highway or Freeway onramp, my life and the life of those around me would have been in serious jeopardy because I LOST COMPLETE CONTROL of the Jeep. Jeep FCA arranged to tow the car to the JEEP Dealer who INSPECTED THE VEHICLE, downloaded the computer data, examined the Report, CONFIRMED the multiple PROBLEMS and repaired the vehicle with a detailed description of the problems they encountered. Prior to the complete FAILURE of the 4xe, there were NO warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms or ANY indication of any kind of the impending crisis and near disaster. So far, there have been a total of FOUR RECALLS. Two have been addressed, with the third to be serviced tomorrow and the fourth without parts avaible to keep the wheels from falling off. I have receipts but could not upload them. I'm happy to mail them to you Thank you for your assistance

On [XXX], on [XXX] Express Lanes (XXX) at approximately 55mph, I drove over an uneven portion of the highway being maintained/bumpy (far left lane). My vehicle intermittently pulled to the left while I attempted to steer right. I believed the problem to be associated with my steering/wheel components. After contacting the Farrish Jeep Dealer, 9610 Fairfax Blvd, Fairfax, VA 22031, I was told a recall (XXX) related to an upper control arm pinch bolt being likely why my steering might be affected. An appointment was scheduled for [XXX]. The issue happened intermittently but inconsistently up to the appointment date. During the [XXX], the Farrish dealer indicated the issue could not be duplicated. And I was required to pick up the Jeep. I subsequently called FCA USA, LLC (1 (800) 334-9200) indicating my concern driving the vehicle with intermittent issues that could result in a crash. I also requested to maintain the Loaner car that was issued during my service with Farrish Jeep; but no response/action was issued or received due to a required management call. It is March 10th, and I have not received the call. The vehicle is not safe to drive based on my recent experience and is available for inspection. And if there is any small chance that the current recall is affected by uneven terrain or bumps at high speeds; then I it can be catastrophic for my and my child-??s health. Thus, I humbly request to return this vehicle with a full return toward another purchase that is safe for my family and I. My car now has 2 open recalls associated with it (for a grand total of 5 overall) - and it only has 9,580 miles on it. The latest recall, 24V-132, does not have a remedy yet available. Jeep indicates the earliest they will be able to fix my car is April 8, 2024. I have told them numerous times I feel it is unsafe to drive. They are not giving me a loaner. They are not giving me a rental. I am stuck until "someone from the recall division calls" me back. Even though it's a rist of the wheels falling off, which can cause a wreck with no warning! Recall 24V-11 was enacted on 2/15/24. My defrost system doesn't work well...

Brand new car. Driven 600 miles. After shopping at Costco I get to the car and it is completely dead. Will not turn on and every single code possible popped on the screen. Luckily I wasn-??t with my kids or out of town or this could-??ve been a nightmare. How can this happen with a brand new car? Makes me afraid of what may happen in the future.

The vehicle suffered complete loss of power steering function. The wheel could not be turned and the vehicle would not respond. Cycled the vehicle on and off multiple times with no restoration of power steering. Vehicle was towed to dealership. Vehicle spent 18 days in service with no fix other than to clear code U0131 "Loss of Comm with power steering" and to do a EPS Flash. Vehicle power steering issue may come again and no fix offered by Jeep. Phone call to Jeep fielded no help and offered no assistance.

The first occurrence was upon starting the vehicle in a parking lot. The death cluster lit up with power steering unavailable, airbags unavailable, autobrake disengaged, and the the battery warning. The dealership towed the vehicle and replaced the batteries. In April of -??22 While driving the vehicle the power steering became unavailable, forcing a difficult left turn off a major roadway. The same warning lights came on and the vehicle was not drivable. The vehicle was towed and a new power steering rack and steering gear were installed. Third occurrence was in the driveway recently when again upon starting the same warning lights were on and there was no power steering available. The vehicle is at the dealership now being inspected.

Vehicle completely shut off while driving down highway. Completely lost steering response and breaking response. There was absolutely no way to control the Vehicle. My daughter and I both thought we were going to crash and die. We live in Alaska and it's winter time so the road conditions aren't the best. It took about 10 to 15 seconds and everything came back on and started working again. I drove my vehicle straight to the dealership I bought it from and have demanded a buyback process. I haven't had it a year and even the hybrid heating coolant system has had to be replaced twice.

About two weeks ago, I was driving my Grand Cherokee on highway with my wife and our two-year-old. The power steering light was on and the service light was on. There's also a message saying "power steering lost" popping up at the control panel. The steering was extremely heavy that I lost control of it and could not turn left or right. I pushed brake and turned on emergency light until the vehicle slowed down and eventually stopped on the road shoulder. It was very dangerous. At that point I did not even know there was a recall about power steering on this model - although later I found out my vehicle was not included in that recall it. I took my vehicle to local dealership (Opelika Ford Chrysler Jeep). I also contacted Jeep service line. The staff from Jeep created a case for me (case #: [XXX]) but was not helpful as he refused to give local dealership authorization to repair it - even though the service light was on when I brought it in. The dealership also had some communication with Jeep service. And they were denied authorization to repair it with recall exception or under warranty as they could not duplicate the issue. I was outraged by the lack of responsibility from Jeep as they knew I had a serious incident while they denied authorization to repair it accordingly only because my vehicle was not included in the recall list. I also requested to speak to the supervisor of the Jeep service staff but was told my case was officially closed. Just unbelievable!! I wonder who would take the liability here if we got the vehicle back from dealership without a repair and we crashed with a two-year-old on board. A few moments after I started my car and started to move the steering wheel became stiff and very hard to steer. I received warning messages on the dashboard telling me that the power steering was unavailable. There were also other warnings regarding blind spot and lane control systems.

Power steering would not work said to service blind spot unavailable and service electronic stability control
- Hialeah , FL, USA
Power steering and other warning lights, including blind spot monitoring and lane assist, came on in a Grand Cherokee. I was unable to move the vehicle - the power steering was locked. Fortunately, it wasn-??t on the road, but the driver was stranded until able to get the vehicle started eventually. The issue with the power steering is concerning, especially while driving. The engine light has remained on since.

After starting 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4Xe, multiple warnings displayed on dash including: service power steering, service electronic stability control, blind spot alert unavailable service required, and rear braking assist unavailable. The ignition was fully turned on and after shifting into reverse, there was no power steering which required extra effort to turn the steering wheel. The power steering was out for approximately 20 minutes. After restarting the car 20 minutes later, the power steering and blind spot alert was back. A check engine light persisted. After taking to Auto Zone to read check engine light, there was no readable code. The warnings have since went away. The vehicle had 2,497 miles on it at the time of this occurrence which was on June 9, 2023 at 10:18 am.

After starting the vehicle, I placed it in reverse and warning light came on - steering unavailable, lane change and collision warning unavailable. I was not able to steer the vehicle. Shut engine off several times and had the same problem. Later in the day, I started the vehicle with no problems. Called the dealer and they said that there was nothing they could do until it happens to them.
