Driving down a road at 50mph during daylight hours. It was sprinkling and vehicle was in electric mode. There were no cars in front of me, or behind me at the time. While my foot was on the accelerator, there was a loss of power then collision warning engaged out of nowhere with the audible beeps, flashing on the instrument cluster, and sharp braking. The incident was brief, but certainly a safety hazard as there were no indications the automated emergency braking was going to occur.

Today was the second time the AEB engaged while I was driving with no apparent reason. The first was in Nov 2023 while driving on the interstate at about 70 mph. The AEB engaged, slamming the car to an almost stop, alarm blared for a moment and then the car continued operating with no apparent codes or warning lights. Today it did it again while traveling about 30 mph. I was slowing down to turn into a drive. I was still headed straight with no cars around and the AEB engaged, slamming the car to a full stop, with the alarm and the dash flashing something in red. The car then drove off fine with no warning lights or indicators on the dash. I cannot reproduce the AEB reponse. In response to the first occurrence, the dealer -??flashed-?? the software last year. I intend to take it in tomorrow for the reoccurrence. I believe it to be a safety issue not only in that my back hurts terribly from the whiplash of a stop as sudden as hitting a wall, but because had there been a car behind me on either occasion, it is almost certain they would have had to make a dramatic and dangerous swerve to avoid it or rear ended me.

Vehicle completely shut off while driving down highway. Completely lost steering response and breaking response. There was absolutely no way to control the Vehicle. My daughter and I both thought we were going to crash and die. We live in Alaska and it's winter time so the road conditions aren't the best. It took about 10 to 15 seconds and everything came back on and started working again. I drove my vehicle straight to the dealership I bought it from and have demanded a buyback process. I haven't had it a year and even the hybrid heating coolant system has had to be replaced twice.

While I was driving with my family on a highway, I deployed the drive assist function that controls the speed of the car and keeps car in lane, out of a sudden the car itself deployed a sudden quick brake without any immenant risk in fron of me ( there was no car in front of my car for at least more than half a mile) this caused a very close threat from being hit by the cars behind me amd all of my family members to be scared and worried and even my wife blamed me for slamming the brakes without any reason. I have scheduled an appointment with the dealer in the coming weeks to have it looked at and fix a recent recall as well as look into another weird noise/sounds that I was complaining to the dealer about in the past but was unable to fix or replicate

In Hybrid mode, the transition from gas to battery power is clunky. It surges forward unpredictably and takes a bit to respond when the pedal is pressed. This erratic forward surge has happened several times, including once while my child was drinking water -?" which spilled all over him. The brakes are hard to modulate and are never consistent. When driving in e-save there is an awful engine noise. I typically only try to drive the vehicle in electric mode, but that only lasts to a point. At higher speeds and/or further acceleration, the gas engine kicks on- loudly- and without warning. There is no consistency in when to anticipate this abrupt change in how the vehicle drives as it happens at different intervals (ranging from 0%-3% battery left). This vehicle drives erratically, and I do not trust myself or my children riding in it. On top of this, there have been at least three safety recalls on this in three months. Therefore, I do not drive this vehicle unless necessary. Thus, $60,000 is basically parked in my garage with minimal to no use. I have even recently updated my insurance to reflect that it is not in use.

After starting 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4Xe, multiple warnings displayed on dash including: service power steering, service electronic stability control, blind spot alert unavailable service required, and rear braking assist unavailable. The ignition was fully turned on and after shifting into reverse, there was no power steering which required extra effort to turn the steering wheel. The power steering was out for approximately 20 minutes. After restarting the car 20 minutes later, the power steering and blind spot alert was back. A check engine light persisted. After taking to Auto Zone to read check engine light, there was no readable code. The warnings have since went away. The vehicle had 2,497 miles on it at the time of this occurrence which was on June 9, 2023 at 10:18 am.

Today while driving our Jeep Grand Cherokee. I was slowing for a stop light and a message came on saying service start/stop system. At the time I was traveling approximately 18 miles per hour. As I was slowing down I reached off approximately 5-8 mph when all of the car shifted to park.this was a very scary and dangerous incident for myself and vehicles around me. Now that I was stopped it wouldn-??t let me shift the vehicle back in to drive. Finally a new message appeared saying stop/start restart required. Out of frustration and trying a number of different things, we eventually shut the ignition off and restarted the car and this did allow us to put the car in gear. It was a very unnerving situation. I immediately drove the vehicle to the dealership. This is the second time it-??s in the shop for shifting to park on its own. After doing some research at home it appears others with the 202/2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L have been having similar issues. This is a very serious issue that needs fixed

Shortly after purchasing the vehicle I engaged the adaptive cruise control. It worked fine until such time as I attempted to pass a large vehicle such as a semi truck. When I would get along side of the truck the brakes violently slammed on without warning. The vehicle has been taken back to the selling dealer for repair and they were not able to fix it. (see uploaded Repair Order). I then called Jeep Customer Care who then sent me to another dealer for a second opinion. This dealer attempted repairs twice, both without success. When I took it back again a dealership employee rode with me and took a video of what happens when passing a truck with the adaptive cruise engaged. This dealer now has it for the third time and so far the vehicle has been there for about 9 days with no indication of any progress. Even if they "fix" it I am not confident of the safety of the vehicle as it would be very easy to be hit in the rear end by a following vehicle should this happen again.

Advanced brake assist / emergency assist issue - while highway driving, during a sunny day and with no cars for at least 1 mile the system engaged the emergency brake as if it detected an eminent accident. This was at highway speeds so caused some commotion in the car. Once safely stopped in a rest area I turned off that system. The next day the active lane management system stated it needed service, that later went away. Moreover when the brake pedal is depressed the peddle pulses, leading me to believe the rotors are warped. This suv only has 3300 miles on it. It is scheduled to go to the dealership next week

I work at the Jeep facility doing repairs. We notified management that someone put GLUE in the fitting for the left rear brake line, where it meets the soft line. The issue was never fixed and the vehicle has since been shipped. The person who fixes brakes on first shift said he-??s been putting glue in brake lines since day one. Management has no idea what they-??re doing here and these vehicles are unsafe to be in the road.

The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the message "power steering unavailable, service required" had suddenly displayed and the power steering malfunctioned causing the steering wheel to become difficult to turn in either direction. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who replaced the steering rack and pinion. After retrieving the vehicle the contact was driving approximately 25 MPH when the same steering malfunction occurred causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle and crash into a tree. During the incident, the braking system had also malfunctioned and the brake pedal was hard to depress and the vehicle did not stop before crashing into a tree. The driver sustained a headache and back and should pains. The front seat passenger sustained back and neck pains. The cause of the failures was not yet determined. No police report was taken. The vehicle was towed away. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 2,700.

1. in normal driving condition suddenly apply the breakes full, putting yourself at risk if you have another vehicle that comes behind you, it will definitely hit you 2.On many occasions the anti-collision system is deactivated for no apparent reason, it is almost always in specific areas, I understand that it has to do with some Wi-Fi signal
