On multiple occasions my 2024 Grand Cherokee 4XE will flash "Service Hybrid System" and cut out while driving. Brakes, steering, and other functions are severely limited on these occurences. I have brought this issue up with the Jeep dealership every time the incident happens and they always ask if there are any lights on. No lights stay on, the engine and all systems just cut out. Tried contacting Jeep corporate help line and never get anywhere with them. I would like to turn the vehicle in, but they will not allow me to do so as they can never seem to find anything wrong with it, since it shows no codes.

Vehicle shut down completely while in the left lane of the highway. Thankfully she was able to maneuver it to the shoulder and started it back up and continued on. At 4 AM. Another four days later, the Jeep failed to start in the parking lot of work. Threw every code, including the "red wrench"- service hybrid electric vehicle system, check engine light and other others. We abandoned it in the parking lot and checked the next morning. It started on a whim still with every light on. We were able to get it to the dealership where it has been since January 24. When we went to pick it up today, they told us it was ready to go and it road tested good with no lights on. When we got in it to leave, the red wrench and check engine light went back on. They don't know what the problem is. This was replicated by the dealership and the invoice states: "Vehicle will not move. Pushed into shop".

On 11/9/24 the vehicle began emitting a burning odor from the hvac air vents. The vehicle was charged to 100% and was driven for about an hour before the burning smell began. The vehicle is available for inspection. The safety of myself and others around me are put at risk, due to the possibilty of a vehicle fire due to the 95B recall. The problem has been reproduced when I drive the vehicle after an hour, of a full charge. The vehicle is being taken to a dealership. There were no warning messages when the burning smell began. Dealer states they are unable to reproduce the burning smell, and that there is no remedy available for the battery recall 95B. In addition dealer states, there is no remedy available to request a replacement battery from Stellantis prior to the 95B software update being released first. I feel there is a risk of injury, death and damage to property due to the vehicle producing a burning smell, when on a full charge.

On 1/31/24, while merging onto a highway(approx 45 mph), I accelerated into the lane in front of a truck. As I pressed the gas pedal nothing happened. The engine did not rev and I did not accelerate. I swerved on to the shoulder and coasted for several hundred feet and came to a stop. I put the car in park, turned off the vehicle and restarted it. Operated normally after that. The second instance of loss of motive power was on 3/11/24. Turning right on a residential street (approx 15 mph), the car demonstrated the exact same issue. In both cases no warning lights or messages came up, and the 'fix' was the same. Starting approximately 6/15/24 the vehicle began displaying the message "Electric Mode Temporarily Unavailable" while driving. I would experience a loss of motive power temporarily, coast for 5-10 seconds, the vehicle would switch to 'gas mode' and the combustion engine would take over. This happened between 15-20 times over the following 2 months. I was told by the dealership they couldn't do anything about it unless I had video or picture proof of the issue. I obtained both and was told the dealership would no longer take my vehicle in for repairs, only scheduled maintenance. The videos I have are over the size limit however I will include a pic of the dashboard when it happens. I have multiple videos and pictures as well if needed.

4xe. Have had at least 3 episodes where - while driving- engine switches itself from Electric to Hybrid Mode saying that "Electric Mode is Unavailable". Shortly thereafter, while in Hybrid mode, I press the accelerator and engine seems to rev fast, but there is greatly diminished power. I have to pull off the road and restart car and everything works fine. I have done all of the recall work. Changed oil. This is a rare occurrence, do not think it is a mechanical issue, feel like maybe a hybrid software issue.

My partner and I were driving from Oakland, CA to Petaluma, CA on [XXX], 2024. While driving approximately 75 mph the car shut down and i had to guide it to the side of the highway. It was frightening and we were almost was hit by passing traffic. The display screen and electrical system were going haywire - turtle sign to check engine to random messages stating the car was OK to start. After about 25 minutes, the car started on its own. At the time of the incident, there was just under a half tank of gas. In the weeks since, the car has randomly shutoff and turned itself back on. A nearby Jeep dealer in San Leandro, CA indicated he has heard of similar issue with other Jeep Grand Cherokees. Having read about this I do not trust Jeep as their response was "oh this happens with the 4xe." We purchased this vehicle in August of 2023 and have approximately 6400 miles on it. Fully maintained and no warning lights. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

While driving home yesterday, the High Engine Temp alarm came on. This was just north of Virginia City, NV. I pulled the vehicle over and immediately smelled hot coolant when I exited the vehicle. I lifted the hood, and there was no coolant in the reservoir. I left the hood open and latched with the safety catch while I returned to Virginia City to the local market. The trip was mostly down hill so little excess strain was put on the engine. I bought some coolant and tried to refill the system. While I was doing this with the engine running, my son looked underneath and saw coolant streaming to the ground underneath the vehicle. We called AAA for a tow to get the Jeep to the dealership where I bought it yesterday eveing. I called and spoke to the Service Tech explaining my Jeep was at the dealership and why. I subsequently received a phone call from the Tech. He explained the water pump had "exploded." He informed me they did not have the part but could get one tomorrow morning and have my Jeep ready for tomorrow afternoon. He also stated he nor the mechanic had ever seen anything like this. This is the second incident report I have made on this vehicle for parts failing that no one had ever seen fail before. The first was for a rear brake caliper taht broke at the mount. I bought this vehicle last September new. I am concerned this is only the beginning of significant issues this make and model will experience.

Hybrid System, Air Suspension System, Engine, Power Train Car acceleration power cut out while driving 50 mph suddenly while driving down the road. Held up traffic when came to complete stop, vehicle would not restart immediately. Needed to restart vehicle multiple times before it started moving again. Problem has not been able to be reproduced by the dealer. They reset codes and took on a test drive and was not able to reproduce the issue. Vehicle has not been inspected by anyone other than the dealer. Currently Check Engine Light is on with Air Suspension Fault Light on as well. There was no warning to the vehicle losing power.

As I was approaching an intersection near the railroad track my vehicle just stopped on its own, the gear switch to Park on its own and I was unable to switch the gear back to Drive or Neutral. Messages on the screen popped up saying -??Park Brake Auto Engaged Press Brake + Push Switch to Release-?? but that didn't worked then received another message saying "Service transmission". So basically I had to call a tow truck because my vehicle was stuck in the middle of the road and there wasn't any way to move it and thankfully it stopped about 100ft before the railroad tracks. As I was waiting for the tow truck, about 15-20 minutes later, I tried pressing the brakes and switch again and this time it worked and was able to restart the vehicle. I called the dealer to get a service appointment and I'm waiting for them to call me back. This issue came with no warnings or prior signs and it was totally unexpected.

The engine shuts down while driving. There was a recall on 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, there-??s a current recall on 2023 Jeep Wrangler xe, and now my Jeep Grand Cherokee xe is experiencing the same malfunction. This is extremely dangerous since the vehicle loses power and comes to a stop while in the middle of driving. I came very close to being rear ended on 2 occasions. I had a service appointment with the Jeep dealership today and they confirmed that they were able to reproduce this today, so thankfully my vehicle will get fixed. No warnings appear on the vehicle-??s display when this occurs. You have no warning and the vehicle simply stops. When this happens, I-??ve been able to turn my car off and then back on again and it starts running again. This is an extremely dangerous flaw. I feel that it-??s Jeeps responsibility to keep their customers safe by inspecting all similar vehicles to ensure that they are not selling a death trap to an unsuspecting customer. My vehicle is only 2 months old. In addition to this issue, I have had my air conditioner not cool when turned on, the navigation system refreshes over and over, the auto interior lights on the car brighten rather than dim when it-??s dark, and the vehicle is already shifting rough. I have read that Jeeps are notorious for transmission issues. Unfortunately, I learned these thing after purchasing the $60,000 vehicle. I urge everyone who reads this to please research your vehicles (past and present models) to ensure you are making a safe decision prior to making a purchase. What I have read on Jeeps is truly eye opening. I would have never purchased this vehicle or any other Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, or Fiat vehicles had I known prior. These are all made by Chrysler and all have similar issues. I really hope this message brings light to this widespread issue in the attempt to save lives.

When driving my vehicle, the engine seems to be stalling as a switching from one gear to the other jolts. The engine is slow in responding to speeding up. I feel unsafe specially when attempting to go on the freeway because the car seems to momentarily stop and between switching gears. I called the dealership where I purchased the car and they said that there is no recall for a similar experience of the problem. I called and they said that they would not be able to look at it for a few weeks, and that I was not able to book an appointment and that I would need to drop it off and it would take them approximately about three weeks to look at it and I was not able to get a loaner vehicle from them during that time.
