The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. The contact stated that while driving at slow speeds in stop-and-go traffic, the vehicle inadvertently accelerated on its own. As a result, the contact briefly lost control of the vehicle and collided with the rear of the vehicle ahead. The vehicle then continued to accelerate, pushing the other vehicle forward, only coming to a complete stop after the contact was able to shift the gear selector out of the drive position. The air bags did not deploy. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic for diagnosis. The vehicle was not repaired.
