Uses lots of oil, seat belt buckle sticks, computer in transmission failed, ball joints, cupped tires prematurely, water pump, radiator failed, window regulator failed, hood and rear window struts failed, oil light cut on and off, transaxle failed.

Informed by mechanic that I have a potential head gasket issue. Two separate service centers stating it will cost upwards of $2500 to replace. Can't find a reliable engine replacement as it seems all these 3.7 used engines are junk. Very disappointed with Jeep. I drove my Ram Charger for 250,000 miles before replacing it. Only got 148,000 so far from Jeep and it looks to be shot. At first I loved the Liberty and took good care of it. The body is still in decent shape. I am also having electrical issues. Lights coming on or off at will. I'm burning about a quart of oil a week. The engine is overheating. I get random heat. Can't believe Jeep does not have a solution for all of these 2002 engines failing. Won’t buy again.

To make this short and sweet. Oil disappears out of the engine. I've had tests done to see if it is burning. It's not. I've let it sit and tried to find oil on the ground or on the vehicle. Nothing. It's just simply disappearing. I'm adding it to the laundry list of things I won't tell the dealership when I trade it in.

My Liberty goes through about a quart of oil a week. We have no clue where it's going. Mechanic says its not burning and that there's only a small leak, not enough to go through a quart a week.
