Dealership is able to confirm airbag fault codes, but is not able to fix the car after repeated attempts and one $500 repair that failed. Chrysler group llc has refused to provide any assistance. My vehicle remains at the dealership with no action being taken and has been there for more than four months. No one at Chrysler group llc or the dealership can as much as assure me that it is even safe to drive home. I contacted Chrysler group a few time in the beginning and ultimately Chrysler called me and essentially said 'your car is ready. Go the dealership and pick it up.' I commented that the dealership had stated that the airbag alerts were still occurring and that fault codes that could not be used to make the repair still existed in the system. Chrysler replied that the dealership had confirmed that codes were in fact present in the system that could not be related to an identifiable repair, and that the airbag warning system was still alerting, but that both situations had nothing to with the recall. I asked specifically how he could simultaneously state that an unidentifiable airbag system fault code existed, but that it categorically was not related to the recall. He became angry and frustrated and instructed me to not question him. It is evident from the aforementioned chain of events that nether Chrysler group llc or the dealership are prepared to implement these repairs or actually know what is causing the inadvertent deployment of the airbags in the affected vehicles. There have been as many as 215 reported cases of these inadvertent airbag deployments, and Chrysler has proven unable or unwilling to implement the necessary repairs. It is just a matter of time until an innocent individual is seriously injured or killed.

So I am driving a car in which the air bags might explode at any time (my airbag light comes on and off at will) and if I am rear-ended there is a good likelihood that my gas tank will explode. What am I to do if one of these occurs while I'm waiting for the Jeep notification and/or replacements part to be in stock" I am afraid to drive my car now, but have no other options available. Jeep sent me notice back in Jan. 2013 that my Jeep had a safety recall for M35/NHTSA 12V-527 notification M35. It states airbag could deploy while driving the Jeep. Goes on to say parts are not available for remedy at this time. After following up 8 months later still not parts" what good is a safety recall if someone is not ensuring they have parts or are making parts in a timely manner?????? also the other recall that applies about the fire issue if hit in rear. I have heard nothing on that one. ??" the one they recently agreed to correct this summer. No incident has happened yet. Just want to get this corrected and it seems to be an excessive amount of time.

I was contacted months ago about Chrysler safety recall M 35. My vehicle was in for service and I asked that M 35 be completed. The dealership mccall motors of ebensburg, pa 15931 said they were aware of the recall but have had no other information or parts or instructions from Chrysler. They cannot do anything until they receive parts. According to Chrysler articles regarding M35, the parts were to be available by April of 2013. As of last week (August 2013) this dealer cannot do the repair.

I received a recall notice in April 2013 in regard to airbag problem on a 2002 Jeep Liberty have contacted Chrysler Corp, several times and as of today August 2nd 2013 have had no repair or response from Chrysler Corp this is unacceptable as far as I'm concerned. If I'm injured or a family member is injured or killed because of this issue there will be a lawsuit filed on behalf of it there is no reason this issue has taken so long to fix. Ford motor just got fined 17 million dollars to day for the same situation, by not notifying and repairing in a timely manner Chrysler should be made to buy these vehicles back from customer.
