The contact owns a 2003 Jeep Liberty. While driving approximately 5 mph, the driver's side air bag deployed without warning or impact. The contact sustained minor injuries that did not require medical attention. A police report was not filed. The contact also mentioned that the windshield wipers failed to operate when activated. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact stated that the manufacturer failed to respond right away, but later sent an investigator to inspect the vehicle. The contact stated that the manufacturer failed to notify her of when the vehicle would be inspected. Three weeks later, the contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 15V046000 (air bags) and 13V252000 (fuel system, gasoline, structure). The contact called the manufacturer again and was informed that the recall repairs would be free of charge. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (clear lake Chrysler Jeep Dodge (15711 gulf fwy, webster, tx 77598, 281-481-1000) for the recall repairs per the manufacturer's recommendation. The failure mileage was approximately 160,000.

After safety recall N46 &R06 Jeep didn't inspect the tank and there's gas leak, as it on the video https://youtu.be/U-67O4tnsjw. When they give me back my vehicle I had a lot of electrical issues like windows doesn't work and vehicle stopped on the road. This is very dangerous and they don't care. Vehicle is stationery because I'm afraid to fire like more than 50 people in my Jeep Liberty

I was leaving from work going about 45 mph, I smelled electrical components burning, before I could pull the Jeep over to the side of the road it shut off unexpectedly leaving me with no power steering and no power brakes, I nearly lost control of the Jeep, by the time I got to the side of the road the smoke had filled the cabin, the smoke was coming from front drivers side dash. Now I have no headlights, wipers, door locks, radio, alarm, int lights, speedometer, engine light is now on. Mechanic investigated and found that the BCM has a large burn hole in it the size of a silver dollar, I was very glad that my daughter was not in the Jeep with me that day, ,
