Both rear windows have fallen into window tracks due to failure of a $.05 piece of plastic. The dealer repair is $600 to replace window actuator with no promise that the failure will not happen again, since the exact same part that fails is the exact same part that is replaced. It is simply a disgrace that an individual can "google" this issue on Jeep Liberty's and see that this happens everyday and has happened tp thousands of owners. How can Chrysler get away with this, and not be forced to repair a faulty part that is known to fail time and time again?

I own a 2003 Jeep Liberty. The rear drivers side window slipped off the track in 2008. I was told it would be over $400 to repair at dealer. Then on Feb 20 2008 the other rear window slipped off the track and began to fall into the door. The windows will not stay up on their own and I feel that there have been far too many complaints for Chrysler to not make this a recall issue. I called the dealer and they asked me to contact Chrysler. I spoke with Chrysler and they have my information and have sent it on to the resolution team and I should receive a call by Monday 6pm 3/1/10.

Although I live in a warm climate on a rare cold and rainy day the rear window on my 2003 Jeep Liberty dropped open. Driving with rain entering the passenger compartment made the trip hazardous. I was able to prop the window up once I reached my destination. I had both the right and left rear windows go bad within one week of each other in June 2009 costing me $500 to repair. Prior to that I had regulators go R bad for the same windows. In all cases new regulators had to be ordered. On occasions where the window could not be propped I had to cover the window with plastic in order to keep the rain out. That did not help the security concern. Also on the last repair occasion it took the dealer one month to get the parts.

Power windows in Jeep Liberty continue to fall down. This has happened on 3 different occasion with my car. First incident Jeep covered the repair under warranty. 2nd incident I was charged a $25 deductible; 3rd time a year later the deductible increased to $100. Why isn't this a safety recall issue" in a parking lot anyone could steal the car having easy access with a window that drops down inside the door. Not to mention sitting at a traffic signal, when someone could easily unlock the door and jump into my car. I have a 2003 Jeep, but reading through websites this has been a continuing problem every year since at last 2001. Why hasn't Jeep been able to come up with a reliable fix for this problem"

2003 Jeep Liberty passenger and driver rear window regulators fail and window falls down unexpectedly. Replaced twice, now replacing third window. Dealer says plastic parts used - knows of problem yet dealer or Chrysler will not pay for either defective part and/or service. Wrote letter to Chrysler Oct. 10,2007 concerning issue - given complaint number. I requested refund for defective parts - Chrysler has not replied. Will contact again. Concern for others having small children in back. Window could fall and child could accidentally fall out of moving vehicle. Needs immediate attention.

On several occasions my car has stalled. Prior to it stalling it would have power surges, backfire, the RPM needle would go crazy, and then just shut off loosing all power to brakes and steering. Stalling would occur mostly at lower rates of speeds (under 50mph). It wouldn't turnover immediately. I would have to wait 20 to 25 seconds each time and then it would start, almost as if the system resets itself. It's pretty scary when you have to young children and your on a freeway and your car all of a sudden stalls. The second problem I'm having is a very loud noise coming from the rear end. I pointed my side mirror down towards my backtire. I watched as the rearend made a load cluncking noise and it was as if the back tire was being pushed outwards. The third problem is my passenger side rear window just dropped into the door. The motor still works I can hear it. And last but no least my left turn signal blinks extremely fast and then sometimes it doesn't. my car is currently at the Jeep dealership. I think it's kind of funny that the guy wants to charge me $200 to investigate the problems I'm having to find out what it is. Thanks to everyone's complaints I can call him and tell him the problems, as if he didn't already know. Goodluck to everyone.

The blower switch on the dash for heat, defrost, air, etc. Failed and only works on the highest setting. This is odd because, three different models of Chrysler in my family this all happen to. Jeep, Liberty, Jeep, Wrangler, and Dodge, Caravan. I would say this is a issue but no answers from Chrysler.

Rear window regulator had to be replaced twice. The repair facility no longer will repair/replace the regulator, since the dealer no longer will accept responsibility and refuses to warranty the regulator. The regulator obviously is a manufacture defect, but chrsyler/Jeep is not being held responsible, therefore continues to charge the consumer for new replacements. The first replacement was in 2006, the second in 2007, and is currently held in place by wire. I cannot afford to continue replacing a defective part.
