The contact owns a 2005 Jeep Liberty. While driving approximately 60 mph, the rear driver side tire exploded and caused the fender, rear bumper, and rear license plate to detach from the vehicle. The contact believed that the failure was a direct result of NHTSA campaign number: 13V252000 (fuel system, gasoline, structure). In addition, the hatch door failed to open. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was unavailable.
