This jeep sucks and I will NEVER purchase another Chrysler vehicle!! The rocker arm fell off, broke the rocker spring and sent the rocker into the piston causing the head to fail!! To replace the engine, as it is TRASH now, my mechanic will charge 2800 as a favor as he is a friend, BUT to replace by someone else will cost me over 4000!!! How is it that Chrysler knows about this issue but they wont recall it?! TERRIBLE company and TERRIBLE products!!!! Buying a Nissan tomorrow, as it will cost me less in the long run and I will get a better car!

So yeah, new heads with less than 5000 miles on them. Cold start after sitting all weekend. Started popping. Have it towed to dealer. Rocker Arm fell off. They have no clue why. The heads are new.....put back on, and now I am rolling down the road again. Albeit not very confidently.
Update from Jan 14, 2019: Found fix. Spent 2 winters replacing everything in cylinder 4 head, rocker arms, lash adjusters. Solution was a washer under the lash adjuster so that it didnt have enough play to fall off when oil pressure took too long to get to it when cold. Sounds pretty redneck...but it's worked for 2 years..so....

I am so mad about this problem I could scream. I am still paying on this car for at least another year, am out of transportation for my job, and it will cost at least $1800.00 or more to fix this engine. Jeep should have to pay for this problem as it seems I am not the only one with this problem. I have owned numerous cars over my time since I have been driving and have had cars with 187,000 and up that I never had to replace the engine or have a used engine put in. I want Jeep to pay for this repair.

1 owner, serviced meticulously ,rocker arms just falls off . I figured the first time was a fluke and I paid thousands for new heads and repair. At 81,000 miles happened again AT 88,000 to a rocker arm on the opposite side . WHAT A PIECE OF SH*T. I will NEVER buy another Chrysler product again EVER.
I had similar results with a Chrysler PT cruiser, also 1 owner . Also a terrible car with a ridiculous service history. I now own a Honda and a Nissan the quality is obvious comparatively. I've managed to teach my grandchildren to recognize Chrysler products and announce........ there .... THERES A JUNKER CAR !! ......and I just reply .....Yep, your right it is !!!!! , sorry about him (or her).

16 years old. Spent a whole year saving up for a car. Worked full time at a rough job all summer. 2000 miles after I bought it, engine goes out. Not worth fixing. Gosh dangit stupid car
