Good thing I bought an extended warranty. Transmission was shifting hard, clucking, I knew it was going. Took it back and forth to dealership and denied all sounds. Now stuck in 2000 rpms and wont do anything. Grinds and shutters after 40+ mph. Transmission is gone.

Not much to add. Transmission gave no indication that it was failing before suffering its catastrophic failure. Wish I had some sort of warranty to cover it. Absorbing the cost was rather painful.

I just had the torque converter go out 5 months prior. Now the transmission. I babied it. No off road, and no fast accelerations. I drove to get the best mileage I could which was 23 in town and 30 on the highway. Diesel is great. I liked the jeep and especially liked the diesel engine.MOPAR is really low quality. Too bad. No more Chryslers for me. When the transmission was showing signs of going for the 3rd time, I traded it in a Toyota 4Runner. And you wonder why people buy foreign cars?

Transmission went out going down the road, no signs of slipping or any type of warning. Just a pop and stopped going down the road! Left me in the middle of hwy. Normally you will have a slipping transmission or have some kind of signs but not this one!
