The contact owns a 2006 Jeep Liberty. He stated that he experienced unwanted ABS activation, when the air bag warning light illuminated on the instrument control panel. With the increased stopping distances the risk of a crash could occur if the ABS activated without warning. An authorized technician rewired the ABS since the air bag sensors failed. The vehicle identification number was unavailable. The manufacturer was notified, and he is waiting for a response. The failure mileage was 15,000 and the current mileage was 30,000.

- the contact called regarding the 2006 Chrysler Jeep Liberty. The contact lost control of the vehicle on 2/27/06 while traveling at 40 mph. The contact heard a loud grinding noise coming from the passenger front side of the vehicle. There were warning indicator lights. The failure mileage was 7500. The contact was having a problem with the automatic stability control light turning on, and felt tension in the steering wheel. The Chrysler dealer could not duplicate the problems with the vehicle. The vehicle began to have steering and brake problems. The vehicle left hte roadway, the consumer was unbale to control the vehicle. The consumer stated the brakes locked up.

After one month, car speedometer, tachometer and various safety systems on the instrument panel stopped working after first service these include ABS, hand brake light, tpm. Chrysler has not been able to fix problem to date and are now claiming it is an ABS 'pump'.

: the contact stated the brakes failed five times at low speeds. There was an accident causing minor damage to another vehicle. The dealer could not duplicate the problem. Also, the check engine light illuminated. The dealer replaced the heater control head however that did not fix the problem. The fuel pump also runs constantly and the manufacturer has been alerted.
