Liberty Sport 3.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 85,000 miles

Recall came when I lived in PA and dealerships did not have the parts to fix, on back order. Relocated to TX and had to pay to re-title my Jeep here and Recall came and made an appt to have the repair completed. This can cause loss of vehicle control and lead to a crash. If you have an issue, seek help immediately.

Liberty Limited V6

I got a recall letter a few weeks a go for the rear suspension, I called my dealership last week and made an appt for Monday 16th 2012, But sunday I was driving to work which is like a mile away, I was getting ready to park my vehicle when my front in started to rattle, and then my steering wheel was shaking, and i heard a snap, I lost complete control of my vehicle, and hit the light pole at my work, I was only going 10 mph so my air bag didn't deploy. I got pretty banged up my chest is bruised from the seat belt, and my hand got wrapped around the steering wheel and took a gouge out of my hand, I got out and told my boss what happened and they called the cops, i called my husband we looked at the vehicle a long with my dad and the tow truck company, and everyone told me that should not snapped like that there was no rust nothing, it was a clean snap, the damaged to my vehicle due to that is my knuckles, struts, lower ball joint, suspension front control arm, my left side of my lights were smashed, my front end, my rim, and knocked the front alinement out. There was a recall back in aug 2006 for the suspension control arm and lower ball joint, and my dealership said it was fixed in march of 2007 from the previous owner, but they think it was another defected part put on, I told chrylser, lake county dodge and my insurance company I refused to pay for any of this , it wasn't my fault I had my vehicle inspected in oct 2011, I have had nothing bu problems with it, when i first got it the low oxygen light came on could not figure out why, come to find out some moron but a jeep cherokee gas cap on, went down to the dealership, and they made me pay for it cost me $28.00 for it which was crap, this was two days after I got the vehicle they should of provided it, then my stupid check engine light would come on. i kept taking it to the mechanic, they said it was number 3 cyilnder misfire which was the number 3 coil pack, so he replace it drove the stupid thing 5 miles and the check engine light came on same code came up, so he replaced it again, drove it again and it happen again, I dealt with that issue for 1 year, then one day I got in my vehicle and the check engine light went off and has stayed off, now i'm dealing with this, I was so angry I missed worked, I was without a vehicle till I can get my rental car yesterday, I'm sore, and I was planning on going on the highway when i got out of work, i told the cop that and the dealership, they told me that if i was on the highway when this happen I would have been dead, I was also mad like I told them what happen if I had my kids in the vehicle the dealership, and my insurance company is going after Chrysler, to pay for it, and if they don't we will have a big problem, I will hire a attorney, so anyone who has a jeep liberty get your vehicle checked out, to prevent what I went through,It's just pretty funny a couple weeks ago I had a recall for the rear suspension, and a recall that happen in 2006 caused my crash. things are still be investigated but they know what cause it which was the recall in 2006, and ruled out it wasn't my fault.so please everyone take care get your vehicle check and go online and keep up with recalls, and always check your vehicle out before backing it out of your driveway, because live in fear now that this could happen again.GOOD LUCK TO JEEP LIBERTY OWNERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
