2006 Jeep Liberty, the motor for my windows are always breaking I have had to get them fixed 6 times now since I bought it in 2007 the fact that I have to drive an hour to the dealership every time and spend $106 to get them repaired not including the gas I have to spend on getting to this place is just pathetic. I have come across many people with the same complaint and im absolutely tired of going through the same thing not everyone has the time or money to be going through this and from what im getting Jeep is not take responsibility in this !

I have a 2006 Jeep Liberty 4X4 the rear window passenger side has stopped working, or should I say it just fell making a loud boom when it came crashing down, I'm just glad I didn't have kids in the back seat when it fell, it could have broke and really hurt some one. The Liberty only has 46,000. Miles on it the windows has not been used at all since I have had it. I have been doing research on the problem and there are many people with the same problem and it appears that Jeep does not offer a warranty or a recall. I have a 2006 Jeep Liberty crd which I leased in Feb. 2006 through Jan. 2009 then decided to purchase this vehicle. The rear window regulators have failed on both sides twice. The first time was in June 2007 both rear passenger door windows fell into the door. This happened again this year in April 2009 for the right rear window and now in August 2009 for the left rear window. I have seen many reviews on this and that this problem keeps occurring. Once the warranty is up you pay approximately $400 per window regulator to be fixed. I believe Chrysler/Jeep should remanufacture this part and replace it for free.

The contact stated that all of the windows in the vehicle would randomly fall down into the door and fail to come back up. He was forced to tape the windows in the up position in his vehicle. Through research, the contact discovered that this was a common failure. He spoke with a service technician at the dealer who admitted that many other consumers experience the same defect as well. They also stated that the window regulator needs to be replaced. The failure mileage was 81,000 and current mileage was 84,000.

Bought a used 2006 Jeep Liberty with 13K miles. Two times the rear passenger windows have failed and fallen into the door while driving along the freeway. Chrysler dealer and internet research shows that this issue recurs several times on this model. Parts were replaced by dealer but this issue apparently could reoccur. The issue is a defective design in the window regulator that regularly fails.

Window regulators fail. Jan of 08 rt rear window fell into door panel. July of 08 the left rear window dropped into door panel. Now, just as 3 year warranty is over the driver's side front fell. Have gone to dealer and since I am no where close to having warranty miles on vehicle they said they would do a courtesy repair. Back windows keep falling in to the back doors. I have to replace the window regulators every six months. I'm on my second replacement drivers side back window and tree trips to fix it in one year. Then in one year the passengers side fell in an I had to replace this widow regulator too. This is becoming costly and seems to be a defect in this model 2006 Jeep Liberty. Please investigate. I'm getting really tired of repairing these window regulators.

When the window regulator breaks on a Jeep Liberty, the cable assembly can break off of the window. The cable then can come out of the door locking assembly if you try to use the window close switch. This will prevent the door from being opened. This has happened to me twice so far in 18 months. If the vehicle were in an accident and ems needed to get a person out of the vehicle, there is no way they could in the above conditions. The number of complaints that are out there on this problem are staggering. Please do something before someone gets hurt or killed by Jeep lack of response.

The driver's rear window regulator broke and now the window will not go up and down and slides down by itself. Chrysler only sells the motor and regulator and everything as one package, so even though I can hear the motor working and it is most likely a broken piece of plastic, because that is what Jeep use for regulators, that is causing the problem im going to have to pay 300 dollars to buy everything. If Chrysler would use a metal bracket as a regulator instead of a cheap piece of plastic there would not be so many problems with Jeep Liberty's window regulators breaking. And since they don't sell regulators by themselves it is almost like Chrysler is doing it just to make more money and that they don't care about their customers at all. It is a little bit ridiculous that they have not recalled these shotty quality regulators or even addressed the problem at all.

2006 Jeep Liberty. I have had the window regulator go out in my car currently 5 different times. I am also certain that my driver window is about to go out again as I have to help lead it when I push the up bottom. I try to use it as little as possible. When the regulators when out the first three times my car was still under warranty so I took it in for repair. Now that they have broken two more times, within two weeks, I feel that this is a real issue. What concerns me is the safety of my children who are in the back seat when these break and the glass falls into the door, what if it was to break, what if it was storming outside. It concerns me that one of them could be injured. I am also concerned that when I went online to do some research there are many post regarding this same issue, also a petition put forward with 114 signatures asking for a recall on my vehicle, yet Chrysler Jeep has yet to do one. I think we need help to get this item recalled, have a better product installed in our cars, and provide a safe form of transportation for our families. Thank you for your time.

The contact owns a 2006 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated that the component for the power windows snapped. As a result, the windows roll down, but will not roll back up. The failure previously occurred to the driver's side rear and front passenger side windows, which were repaired. Currently, the rear passenger side window is not working. I went out Sunday morning, to go to church and my rear window of my 2006 Jeep Liberty had fallen down into the door. The dealer said they had serviced the problem on other Jeep Liberty's and in 2006 the mechanism had been changed. The cost of the repair would depend on which mechanism was in my vehicle. My son had the same problem with his 2003 Jeep Liberty renegade. I was looking at some reviews online and rudy also had the same problem with his 2006 Jeep Liberty. Since this is a problem the company knew about and did not let the consumer know about the problem, I feel like I should be compensated for the cost of the repair. The cost was $376.66. Power window regulator failed this is second time a window regulator has failed one back and one front window. This is not only a hazard but could cause more damage if raining. There is also a child hazard if the window came down at the wrong time. Bad part still under warranty they will fix but need new type part.

Where to begin...we have had the windshield washer reservoir replaced twice, all 4 window motors and one of them twice, air conditioner twice, some small pinion or some device that took all power from the vehicle, plus the recalls, all the directionals on the air vents, I have had this car in the shop so much, that I think in another 6 months I will have a brand new car again....I am just thankful it is under warranty...but this car has burnt us on Jeep!!
