While on vacation in South Dakota, rear right window fell down in door. This happened on a weekend with no body shops available. Had to tape cardboard in place to make it back to Washington. Now I see many many other complaints of the same thing happening to other Liberty owners. WHY NO RECALL????

I have owned this Jeep since Nov 2006. I have had this .... problem happen to every window in my vehicle at least once, some three times. So here I am at work on a Friday and walk out to my car at the end of the day to find that the passenger side rear window has dropped again!!!!!. Another 490.00 US dollars to fix the damn thing. Just because I need my car in working order, I say yes to the fix. Take my car to the dealership and they order parts. I call 2 days later to see how my repairs are coming and when my Jeep could be picked up and they say "Oh the parts did not come in" Not a phone call before I called but when I call. My son picks up my Jeep for me, they say they will contact me on Monday, no call, no call on Tuesday either. Finally call today and say oh we can fit you in right away. No regard for what you have going on in your life. What a money grab this window thing is for dealerships. It so pisses me off. Still no recall because no one has died, you just have stuff stolen out of your car because it is not secure. Always wanted a Jeep all my life now that I have one, I want to get rid of it.

Passenger side (right) front window fell down and will not go up with the regulator in the dark of night in the cold. It will be days before I can find parts and fix this. Just not a problem I need, and it's a stupid problem that is clearly Jeep's fault and shoddy manufacturing and engineering. Shame on Jeep!

This is the 5th Windows we have had to replace at the average cost of $500. About every 3 years. We are now going on 2nd replacement for Windows already repaired. Each time we took jeep to dealer but yet they have NO records of any of the services they did. That seems totally unbelievable to us. They just shrug their shoulders and stare at you. we called the customer care line..... . But that proved meaningless. Clearly this is a defect in this vehicle. What happened to standing behind your product??? Shame on you Chrysler!!!

First, let me add that I acquired this vehicle from a deceased relative and took possession of it approximately a year later. I noticed that there was a doorstop wedged within the driver's side rear window, however didn't think much of it as this vehicle wasn't my primary vehicle. When I decided to drive it, I investigated the window and learned that without the doorstop, the window would fall and later learned that even with the doorstop the window falls. Here's where my frustration sets in, I took the vehicle in for maintenance and inquired about service for the window and they quoted me the repair cost, never mentioning anything about a recall or warranty. It's years later now and I don't know that I will still be able to get this problem serviced at no charge. After doing some research today, I will call Chrysler tomorrow to learn what my options are.

I currently own 2 Jeeps and my Liberty is my 6th Jeep vehicle so far. However I have had horrible problems with the windows on my Liberty.

This is the 6th time I have had the windows worked on since purchasing the vehicle in 2006. Most recently I had to pay $477.60 for a repair to the left front window. All 6 repairs have been done by my Jeep dealer. I feel strongly that jeep should reimburse me for this cost. It is not normal for any vehicle to have this many problems with a single part.

JEEP: After reviewing the matter and issues raised, your request for consideration in this matter must be declined.

This is the fourth window glass that I had to fix because it falls down and never comes up. I had to replace the lift plate in three windows earlier and this time I had to replace the regulator assembly. Dealers are rip off, this dealer charged me $500 to replace the window regulator. Very bad design for windows glass regulator in the Jeep. Never buying Jeep again.

This will be the 6th time I've had to repair a window on this 2006 Jeep Liberty. I currently have two windows (passenger) and (driver's side rear) that are taped up due to the fact that they will not stay up. I assume, although I don't know for sure, that it has something to do with the window regulator. The driver's side rear broke for the 2nd time in May 2014 at which time I was told by the dealership that the Extended Warranty on this issue had expired in March 2014 and it would cost me $450 to repair. The passenger window just fell out this morning (4/20) and I think the driver's window is getting ready to have an issue as I've had to push the window back into place lately to get it back up.

Within the first month of purchasing the Liberty the window fell. Every window regulator in the Liberty has been replaced, some multiple time. When it happened many times within the first year, I tried to get Chrysler dealership to replace the vehicle under the lemon law, they refused saying I do not qualify.

For the last 2 years I've had a section of 2x4 jammed up against the regulators so the window won't fall down. Estimates to fix is $450-$500. Our household is on a tight budget, the cost of repair falls out side of our budget.

Right now the rear passenger window held up by 2x4 and the front window sounds like fingers on the chalk board. After owning over a half a dozen Jeeps in my life time. Because of the problems and the responses from Jeep and their dealers, I have incurred over the years regarding this Jeep, I've decided not to purchase another Jeep vehicle. Chrysler has a lousy customer first policy which will effect their bottom line in the long run. What a shame it use to put customer first.

If this has been an issue of the regulators being made of cheap plastic materials, why would Jeep continue to use this part? All I have read on this, seems to be the same issue...pos part that doesn't last. Very frustrated with this car because this is not my only issue I have at this current time. Being a single mom and not having the means to repair, replace or work on my vehicle is difficult. This will be the last Jeep I ever buy, it wasn't my first or second one either!

3 windows dropped down I had one repaired for $300. The other 2 in the rear I wired up. Then AC went out it cost around $900 for that. Then the computer went out that cost was $700. The trouble is they do repairs using the same low quality parts. We are afraid to go to far from home for fear of a break down. We figured as many Libertys on the road they would be a good vehicle. I forgot about the speedometer which was replaced with a used one at no cost to me.

This is the second window to malfunction. The first happened just a few months before. The rear windows were the least used and Jeep refused to do anything. Warranty or no - this is a known (more than) frequent problem especially in the 2006 Jeep Libertys yet it has not forced a recall to replace the defective parts. Unbelievable. I will not purchase a Jeep or any of their other products ever.
