This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Jeep dealer.
This has been an ongoing problem since 2007. with all windows having been repaired several times. This was a manufacturer defect. This makes in resell of this vehicle $0. It always seems to happens at the most inconvenient time, in the winter when it's cold outside. I feel Chrysler should have come up with a permanent fix and not just a band aid until it break again.

This dumb window on the driver's side failed prematurely. As a result, the driver's window collapsed into the inside of the driver's door and will not roll up.
I could not drive anywhere, park anywhere, leave car unattended because the is NO window!
F*ck you Jeep!

Over 5 years ago my drivers side window would not close. They honored a recall on 2007 Jeep Liberty because I stood my ground. They said it was not covered the recall was over, but I said does not make any difference still a 2007 Jeep Liberty with a problem they had a recall on. So they fixed it. Now left passenger window won't go up. Sounds like a jack hammer running when I press the button for the window to go up. When drivers side window stopped working dealer said the reason was because I did not use it enough. What a stupid reason. I found the recall on the Jeep window motor regulators online then. Today I cannot find the recall they had. They had so many people with the same problem they had recalled it 2nd time with a 7 year covered. If car is older than 7 years from recall it is not covered. Please it is still the same car same problem they had a recall on. Once a recall it should be covered no matter how old the car is
Update from May 8, 2018: My Neighbor is a mechanic. He purchased the window motor regulator and fixed the problem in 1 hour. $137.and some cents for part and we gave him $67. and some cents for fixing my window. would have cost me near $500.00 and would have taken 3 to
4 hours if I took it to the dealers. The dealers fixed my driver side window and killed my one and a half year old battery so I had to purchase a new battery.

So first the rear driver's side window failed within a year of buying the car. Then the rear passenger side window failed a couple of years later. And now, the front driver's side is gone. At least this time the window is stuck in the up position and I don't have to put tape on this window too. If I could go back in time I would buy any other vehicle available other than a Jeep. Once this car finally falls completely apart (and can no longer be held together with duct tape) or blows up or whatever, I will never own another one.

I took my Jeep in for a diagnostic required by customer service for a problem with the left front window and discovered a problem with the right front window regulator that was just replaced at the end of September 2016. The diagnostic for that window said "cable in regulator has excessive play" and "also noisy motor". Don't you think the dealer would have realized the problem when they installed it in September? They are not sure if it will be covered under warranty since it was replaced as a warranty in September. What nonsense!

Thanks, I have had each of the four window regulators replaced twice each, eight times total. Last time was 6 years ago. So repairs happened all within the first three years of ownership. I now have the same reoccurring issue today. I've retained my service records independent of what the dealership has just given me and their records show "repair order purged from system." In English this means they have no record or idea that a repair, or what type of repair took place. Pretty shoddy and incompetent. So this will be the very last Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge product I will purchase. I'll bet my service record can be found, but Hillery probably had it expunged also. Highly incompetent!

This is the 6th time I am having to replace the window regulator on this vehicle. I have replaced all 4 windows and have started on the second round. I am sorry but really since they know this is an ongoing problem with these vehicles they should still be warranting them.

All windows have failed!!! Had in for service 4 times already!! Company in yesterday., Had purses locked in car, came back, the rear window had fallen into the window well.
I knew this was a warranty item and a known defect. Called dealer. They told me to bring in. Now I have company in town, no car for the weekend and I am told that the time period for repairs has run out!!
Chrysler needs to pay for as long as I have this car. I'll know more on Monday, but this is embarrassing and a pain in the ass. I haven't seen my mom for months and I spent most of the day driving to the dealership for repair. Now I have to rent a car for the weekend!

Have a 2007 Jeep Liberty, where the window regulators have failed 5 times. 3 Times was covered under warranty. Last time (11/09/15) had to pay $450.00 for repair. This time, the estimated cost is another $450.00. I am the original owner. Five failures for the same part is ridiculous. I understand there was a Class Action suit brought against Chrysler for this problem, but don't know if that suit is still active or if I can get added to it, or if I can get reimbursed for the repair. I am located in Florida.

I have had this problem with one of the four windows not working correctly since the first year I bought this car in 2007. I had a 5 year warranty so it wasn't as much of a financial pain in the ass then, but I was going back to the dealer at least twice each year to have a new regulator put on the one or two of the windows! Now that the warranty has expired, it has still plagued me! It seems to persist more so with the two rear windows and they constantly fall off track or the regulator doesn't work. I just got them fixed again three days ago, and literally the next morning one of the windows fell down. The mechanic says it popped off. I don't know it just seems like a lot of trouble and with the tech nowadays we should be able to have and keep our electronic windows rolling up and down. Thank you and God bless.

This is 4th window regulator this vehicle has needed, only one of which was covered under the warranty. I am in the market for new vehicle and this problem alone will keep me from ever buying a Jeep again. What a POS DCX is for not stepping up and repairing this obvious design flaw!

At first I though it was just a glitch because sh*tty things tend to happen to me but then over time all 4 f*cking windows have broken. It's total crap and I hate this damn car but it's paid for and therefore I will drive it until the wheels fall off. Though that is apparently a real possibility with this particular car.

With a recall on window regulators on file and now having mine break, I am extremely upset knowing that I will have to pay approximately $150-250.00 out of my pocket, for this recalled item. I am a disabled veteran on a fixed income and can't afford this. Please help me if you can.

The window regulators have continually failed in my 2007 Liberty. I have contacted Jeep and while they have replaced some of the regulators in the past, they are not willing to assist with the problem again despite thousand of complaints regarding this issue.
- Mary Ann K., Phoenixville, PA, US
This is the 4th time since I have owned this vehicle that a window regulator has broken. I also have a rear window that is wedged that broke last year. Very frustrating & I refuse to pay upwards of $400 out-of-pocket to repair this! I guess I'll drive with tape or permanently make the window unopenable.

This was the second incident of my window regulator going out. Passenger right side window. 1ft of 12ga hot wire & "tied" shut

This was the first incident of my window regulator going out. Passenger left side window
- stetz60, Xenia, OH, US
This is the third regulator to go on this car. The first was fixed by warranty but these last two I've had to tie up the windows because it's too costly to fix. This leaves only the driver's window untouched. I would like to know if I could still get these fixed by Chrysler since I was not made aware of the extended warranty on this year's window regulators.

As this was 2nd time issue occurred just jammed up window and left it
