My 2007 Liberty has slow window regulators. They go up and down slowly when in use. It can take 8-10 seconds for them to open or close. I had the passenger side replaced at the dealer under warranty. They said it is typical for them to slow down and even break completely but, they are waiting for a new design to be produced. But now, the passenger side is slow again and the drivers side has started doing it to. When it is cold outside they barely move at all. Now after further readings, I guess they will just eventually fall into the doors also like everyone else's. come on Chrysler!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh yah, my carpets wore out fast to. Dealer said it is wear and tear. My Dodge, Chevy and Toyota never did that.

Window regulator, the power window regulator broke while I was driving, and the window almost broke.no one was touching the window button. I brought my Jeep Liberty to the dealer to have the problem fixed. The vehicle was under warranty still but as it turns out the original regulator is no longer available and the new regulator wont fit on my existing window. So the dealer said the warranty would cover the cost of the regulator but I had to pay for the new window and labor, which cost me about 200. Dollarsthe whole bill was around 454 dollars. I have heard of several people that own Jeep Liberty's and they have also had window regulator problems. I think this should be a dealer recall item considering now you cant even get the original regulator and in order to fix it you have to buy a window. I feel like I have been scammed.

Replaced the rear power window regulator and glass for the second time this year. They assured me it would not happen again after the first repair since they used am improved part. Dealer states this time Jeep knows of this defect but "can't find a supplier with decent parts" so people are forced to make the same repair over and over. When this happens, I am unable to close the window, causing a safety issue when driving and parking the vehicle in lots.

Defect in the track of all four windows. Part has come off of three tracks on Jeep Liberty windows, causing all 3 windows to fall down. All now have to be taped up. This is a safety issue/hazard as anyone could easily break into car without breaking windows or picking locks. It also impairs vision on drivers door because of being taped to stay up.

I own a 2007 Jeep Liberty. In Feb 2008 my left rear window collapsed into the panel. As it was under warranty it was repaired, or I thought it was. In Aug 2009 my right rear window collapsed into the panel, once again it was under warranty and was repaired. In Oct 2009 my left rear window collapsed again. Now this is an ongoing problem with Liberty's and because it is out of warranty now I was told I have to pay for the repairs. It is documented on several consumer advocates reports about this problems. I feel this is a safety issue as if there were children in these vehicles I am afraid of possible injuries. I do not feel it is fair that we the public should have to pay for Jeep's recurring problems. I feel a total recall and proper replacement of the regulators and window itself as prescribed by the Chrysler engineers.

While driving the left rear window fell down into the door. I took it to a mechanic and I was told that the regulator wheel was broke. I have no idea how it got broken. I have not taken it back to the dealer because my warranty has expired and the cost would be high for the parts and labor.

The dealership has not even seen the window but knew what it was because of how often they see this in Jeep Liberty. Why isn't this a recall" will I have to worry about the remainder of my windows as well"

Jeep Liberty, 2007 - rear windows fall into door panel while driving or parked. My children sit in the back seat of my vehicle when moving and my daughter had her fingers pulled into the window pocket. Another time the weather was cold with hard rain and the window just dropped, I'm in traffic, I was distracted by incident and it took several minutes to pull off the highway and cover the open window area with a blanket and again there were children in the back seat. The defective regulator on the Jeep Liberty and other Jeep has been reported numerous times by consumers who have had to replace the equipment in the same vehicle 4 or more times. Chrysler/Jeep refuses to correct the problem which results in the window glass falling into the door, leaving windows open while children or animals are in the vehicle and leaves the vehicle vulnerable if locked and parked anywhere. This failure accurs in over 75 % of the Jeep vehicles and once the part is replaced can fail again within a month. This is not just an expensive inconvenience it does effect the safety of individuals in the vehicle when moving and when vehicle is parked and locked.

Component: Visibility:power window devices and controls details: The window regulator in my Jeep goes out it is a manufacturer defect in the making of the vehicle, it has already happened to my vehicle 3 times in 8 months and GM refuses to recall it. It is a safety issue because the window just fall out of trac K. cost is not affordable each time @ $500 to fix it. Also the fix is total replacement of parts and window glass because the window glass will not fit the new parts? um then maybe it should be recalled because they know if it is fixed with the same parts it will not stay fixed!!!!!!!

On 3 separate occasions, in 2 separate Jeep Liberty vehicles (model years 2006 & 2007), both my boyfriend & I have had windows fall into the doors. Twice it happened during the normal course of using the power window feature to lower the window, but once it happened while traveling down the road. Mechanics have replaced the regulator on all 3 occasions, stating that this is a very common problem they've seen with these vehicles. My concern is that when traveling down the road and having the window suddenly drop, there's the potential for the driver to be surprised by the movement, as well as items flying into or out of the vehicle.

After only a few hundred miles on my new 2007 Liberty, the passenger front window failed, due to a faulty regulator, in November 2007. The dealer repaired it under warranty but said it was a common problem with this vehicle. After minimal use, the rear driver window failed for the same reason about 8 months later. I could manually push it up but it would fall after a few minutes of driving. The window may have been up and down a dozen times in total before failing. This is a real safety concern, and it is disgusting that such a broadly acknowledged defect is not being handled responsibly by Chrysler.

The contact owns a 2007 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated that the passenger side rear window fell down in between the door and will not come back up. This prevented the door from opening. The dealer stated that the door would not open because the glass was lodged between the door. The dealer repaired the door, but not the window. Three weeks later, the remaining three windows failed as well and prevented the doors from opening. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and they stated that the warranty on the windows were 35,000 miles and the vehicle has 35,400 miles. The dealer repaired all of the doors for free, but would not repair the windows. Currently, all of the windows are down and will cost $580 to be repaired. The failure mileage was 35,400.

Vehicle has 25000 miles and has had four power window regulators break, two of which were the same window. Vehicle transmission also shifts very hard between 1700 and 2100 RPM. Regulators were replaced on warranty, but I fear after warranty expires this will be very expensive. Have had no luck getting transmission fixed, everytime I take it in for repairs, I'm told they can't find anything wrong.

Rear passenger side window suddenly dropped off the track while driving. An infant was in a car seat on that side of the vehicle and this could have caused debris to enter vehicle. This is the fourth incident of a power window suddenly falling for this vehicle. Dealer states that window regulators are poorly designed. A replacement design is not available.

Drivers side and passenger side electric windows would stall and drag while being put up. Jeep replaced parts and fixed the issue with no charge. My Jeep is not quite 2 years old and has 32,000 miles. The drivers side window has been used more (as you can imagine) and it has been getting progressively worse for 6 months or so. I also had to have a transmission regulator put in when the car was new. It was shifting rough....

All of my power windows have fallen into the door at one point or another over the past year and a half. Jeep has fixed this issue each time, but they fix the issue with the same parts that are defective so it is inevitable that it will happen again. This is clearly faulty craftsmanship and needs to be recalled by the manufacturer.

I have had my windows fall and not go back up 5 different times since I have owned my 2007 Jeep Liberty, Nov 2007. Every time I take it in and get it fixed the dealer says they hope this time will be the last. One time when the left rear window fell the door would not open because of the pressure from the broken window motor. This is very dangerous since the window will not stay up. This is a safety issue. I also have several stains on my stain resistant seats from water, rain and bottled water which is not dirty.

The front driver window goes up crooked and has to be let down and up several times to make it go up correctly. The power windows on my Jeep Liberty made a pop when going up and the window failed to shut (back passenger); I had to manually lodge it up. A few hours later the right passenger side window did the same thing; however, it also made the door un-operable locking my child in which required him to go out the other door. If there had been a wreck my child could have been trapped inside. I took it to the dealer and they said they fixed the problem stating the regulators and motors needed replacing. I asked them what caused the door to lock and they said the cable pulley which controls the windows wrapped around the locking mechanism and froze the door. Well a few months have passed and the windows are once again having the same problems. I was told it would cost several hundred dollars to fix these items though they had previously worked on them. I have relocated from ga to va and would not have the same dealer. When these windows fall while driving it startles you to the point of panic because the rear windows makes a funny sound when down (the way the air current hits the car); which can be quite distracting. I hope you will deal with this problem so it doesn't cause a serious problem with those not expecting it. Another problem when driving if you hit the gas it sounds like the back end slips and will not go or will just jerk and slip on the roadway.

Left side power windows fall to full open position. This poses a safety hazard driving with window full open at highway speeds. Won't return to closed with power window switch. This has occurred four times with either drivers window or passenger windows. Requires replacement of power window regulator at dealer.

2007 Jeep Liberty 4X4, 3 windows have broken with the other sounding like it will go any time. When the first was fixed the child safety lock was broken and can't be disabled. I asked the service manager to check all windows after the first one broke but was told they can only do anything if it is actually broken.
