After minimal use of the rear windows on my 2007 Jeep Liberty I have had 3 failures. I bought the Jeep in January 2007 and had no problems until August 2008. At that point I had the drivers rear window repaired due to the inadequate window mechanism. In July 2008 the passenger rear window went down for the same issue. I was told that the repairs were being completed with a higher quality system so that it would not be a problem in the future. In August 2008 the rear drivers side window broke again. At this point I have had to leave work 3 times to get repairs on my windows. The dealership this time told me that Jeep is not providing a better solution to fixing the windows. When I called and told them the issue with the window the dealer immediately asked if it was a Liberty. Apparently this is a very common problem that they see several time daily. My question is why has this not been a recall issue from Jeep if there is such a high volume in repairs. Although missing work every few months to take my car to the dealership is not a huge inconvenience I am worried about the same repairs after the car is out of warranty.
