Blend door for defroster jammed at vents for A/C. actuator has been replaced twice. Door to blend is jammed due to glue and foam. This is a safety hazard that Jeep is aware of. Windows suddenly fog up and no way to clear as the blend door is jammed. The repair is estimated at $500. This should not be born on the backs of the consumer as this is a known issue that Jeep failed to fix properly through the history of the Jeep Liberty..

Windsheild wiper motor/washer motor doesn't work. There was a recall. But my Jeep Liberty VIN number wasn't included. It hasn't worked for a long time. I thought it was a leak in the hose. It's the motor, so I was told.

The seatbelts have a trick I have to play with the drivers seatbelt to get it to click. The breaks have always squeaked and not stopped correctly the suspension feels off. The wheel turns to the left. I don't know about the airbags because I have yet to get into a wreck. The wheel turned to the left staring up my car after getting gas causing me to smash in my passenger drivers side door. Problems upon problems since I got the vehicle from four seasons auto in St.george Utah. Busy now has damage the engine gets hot and smelly. Snow will literally blow through my defrost vents and hit me in the face with mists of snow.

When trying to unlock with remote key, horn blares, wipers go, washer fluid sprays, locks go haywire. Happens regularly now, also started while idling for awhile. Concern is that it will do this when driving soon. On one occasion I started vehicle but it would not turn off while doing this. Happened a least a dozen times in last 6-8 weeks.

Front windshield wipers automatically comes on once car starts. Wiper switch is in the off position. Turning signals has ceased. The totally integrated power module (tipm) is what defective, which causes a safety issue. Several Jeep have this problem & the manufacturer needs to fix it; it's a defect.

The problems started with the new battery going dead for no reason until I installed security cameras on our house and saw the head lights would randomly turn on and off running the battery dead when the car was parked in the driveway. Then the windshield wipers would come on and not turn off and sometimes the car wouldn't start and when it did on these events it would shake acting like it was running out of gas

Bought the vehicle in va on 2/19/18, driving home to me and after 50 miles in rain the horn started going off every time the wipers moved. Pushed the horn button and the washer fluid started squirting out. Was able to pull over and had to shut the Jeep off then was able to continue. Stopped in ct for gas and got back on the interstate and the all lights turned off on the outside but all the dash warning lights turned on, wipers turned on, horn turned on, washer fluid sprayer went continuously and the motor would stop and start on its own, while moving! luckily, made it to the side of the road and turned the ignition off but all electrical components continued to go off randomly then the car would not restart. After turning the key on and off multiple times, moving the shifting lever, pulling fuses from the panel under the hood and putting them back in it started running again. This happened a second time about 100 miles later. Was able to get the car back to me but after I shut the Jeep off and started it back up the horn and wipers started going off without any switches being touched. Looked this issue up online and found that this is a very common problem for Jeep/Dodge/Chrysler vehicles made in and around this time. Had a recall been done I would have known this was a possible issue and been able to make a better choice of a car to buy for my daughter. There was a real danger of getting into an accident when all of the lights went out while driving in the rain on a busy interstate and then the motor turning off and on while in traffic.

While driving on X way at 70 mph heard noise and saw section of roof slider lifting up and air gushing. Slowed to pull off and whole panel lifted up and almost blew off. Stopped and panel crashed down with front corner coming into passenger side seat. Fortunately no one was in the seat! we taped the panel down to nurse it home on side street at under 40 mph. Dealer said would cost more than $1000 to fix, probably more and repair would not be guaranteed. We cannot afford to fix. We never used the slider in the past. Inquiries on internet reveal many similar incidents by other owners and their attempts to repair with estimates over $3000. Definitely a serious issue. Could have lost control of car if not already stopping, panel could have separated and hit other cars, panel coming into car could have injured driver or passenger!

The contact owns a 2008 Jeep Liberty. While driving approximately 40 mph, the panoramic sun roof slid back and forth, affecting its performance. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact opened the panoramic sun roof to see if it would stabilize, but it failed to close properly and the wind pushed it off track. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (bayside Jeep and Chrysler, queens, NY, 718-229-8700), but the technician was unable to repair the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not offer any assistance. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer and they promised to take another look at the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

Various electrical systems would spontaneously turn on while driving or parked. My wipers (front and back) would turn on full speed, my horn would blast, lights would dim. Even when I turn the car off, these systems stay on. When I open the drivers door, the wipers would occasionally move 1-2 inches.

Intermittent problem. When starting car, wipers come on and turn signals fail to work. The only way to get wipers to stop is to pull the fuse. Turn signals remain inoperable. This problem has been ongoing for over 2 years. Have taken vehicle to dealer multiple times. Dealer claims they cannot locate a problem; however, there clearly is a problem. Do not feel safe driving car with wipers going and no turn signals. We have also had issues with interior lights remaining on. Very distracting to driver at night. Again, took vehicle to dealer and they cannot find a problem. Please help issue occurs while vehicle is stationary and in motion. We drive city and highway streets.
