09/5/2010 after my purchase of my Jeep I took it to brandon courtesy Chrysler Dodge Jeep, I have had nothing but problems with my Jeep since then they damaged my Jeep and refused to take ownership of all they had done. I keep telling management of the issues no real response do to my spinal cord injury no other choice in dealership mantinance. 08/2014 last yr I was on I75 going about 70 when my slider roof flow open taking parts with it.I paid them over 100.$ plus they changed my insurance over $2000. I have taken it back over ten times it still leaking. And stained from the leaks. They no longer reunion my calls. Plus they did not replace the slidder roof as charged but repaired.my batteries don't last. Since my first visit with brandon courtesy Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealership I had told them of the exssive wind noise. The list goes on I have copies of all said and did repairs that don't match the reprints I requested. Please help

Two claims filed per this complaint. 1) sky slider leak; failure - overhaul/replacement required due to track/cable failure. Was leaking into vehicle, as well as leaking into dome light. Inspected per Jeep authorized dealer, confirmed sky slider no longer properly sealing and has failed, requiring total system overhaul and replacement. Referencing various NHTSA documented claims, it already a known issue and in need of resolution.. I was responsible for paying all costs associated with repair, which was over $4000 total. Additionally, the vehicle has suffered a substantial drop in overall resale value due to vehicles reputation for having costly defects and overlooked for recall and warranty. Dealer performed repair at my expense, but I am currently requesting that this claim is properly reviewed for a proper, more cost-effective solution to defective unit. 2) vehicle suffers from temporary rough idle and significant drops in RPM's, nearly stalling itself out. Also begins suffering from intermittent loss of vehicle and device related functions such as loss of horn function, intermittent or partial lights function or window operation. On 2 different occasions while operating under the erratic conditions, the rear window hatch unlocked itself as though the button was hit on mfr. Key fob. These issue occurs randomly and typically last no more than 5 minutes before normal operation returns. Due to lack of information on the cause of this issue, what components are effected and what the specific defect is capable of performing, it is something needing to be looked into for proper resolution.

The contact owns a 2008 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated that the button that operates the sky slider roof made an abnormal noise when depressed. The roof began to open and then stopped. The roof failed to open any further or close from that position. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.

Driving at 40 when the horn, wipers, and lights start going crazy. Had to pull over and restart the car to get it to stop. Took it to the dealer, they diagnosed the tpim to be faulty and it would cost 1200 to fix. Come to find out the tpim has been recalled by chrysle but not for the 2008 models.

When drivers door was opened, vehicle horn, wipers both front and rear all began to operate and I was unable to start and maintain the engine running, it was necessary to disconnect the battery terminal in order to stop everything. A month later, I was in town and it did the same thing. In April while coming to a stop sign the vehicle stopped running and the horn, wipers and lights all began operating. I was able to control the vehicle until it stopped. The battery had to be disconnected in order to get the vehicle to run. The next afternoon, it did it again however disconnecting and reconnecting the battery did not solve the problem. I had to leave the battery disconnected all night in order for the vehicle to reset.

1st incident occurred in March 2013. I was driving to work in a 25mph zone. Suddenly, the horn started beeping, windshield wipers (front and rear) were going, washer fluid was pouring out, power door locks where going on and off. Had to pull over because I could not see with the fluid spraying out at full speed. I turn the car off and removed key from the ignition and this continued to go on for 5 minutes. Brought the car to manfredi dealership. They replaced the tipm module which was very costly. A year and 1/2 later on May 18, 2015, I experienced the same exact problem. There is definitely a major flaw with this part. It's extremely dangerous when this occurs on a highway/turnpike doing the speed limit. This part should be recalled immediately. I should not be responsible to pay for yet another tipm. When I called the dealer they explained it's only a 1 year/12 months guarantee, but this part should last at least 5 years. Really"?"

I have only owned the 08 Liberty for 3 months now and I started seeing little spots near the curtain airbags on both driver and passenger side, but when it rains a lot or I get my car washed the spots get bigger and now it's coming down from the map light which to me is very dangerous and distracting while not to mention its leaking on the cars components as well. It also has started making some lights not work. I'm not sure if I'm right but I do see spots behind the windshield so I don't know if it's the windshield but it's coming in much father now.

I was driving my car on a main 2 lane, 2 way road and I noticed that the rpms were suddenly decreasing even though my foot was on the gas. I had very little time to pull somewhat to the side before it completely died on me. I was just about to get onto the highway, this could have went out on me while I was on the highway with very little time or warning! this isn't the first time it has happened either it happened a few days before this as well but luckily I was pulling into my driveway. This is an extreme safety concern! I might not be this lucky the next time!!! is Jeep going to wait until someone is seriously injured or killed because of this issue before they fix it"!? I have done some research and it seems that it could be the tipm which there have been recalls by Jeep for this on other models and years, why not the Liberty"! it seems that there are enough complaints for it. I have already had issues with my fuel pump and now this!

When using my remote to unlock my 2008 Jeep Liberty, the horn starts honking, the windshield wipers (front and back) turn on, the windshield washers (front and back) shoot fluid, the door locks won't open and the headlights turn on and off. This has happened four times in the last two months. The headlights have also started turning off while driving and I'm unable to turn them back on.

Vehicle shuts off while driving without notice and will not start right away leave set for a 1/2 hour or so and it starts back up but horn blows wipers come on and doors will not unlock automatically this could be a real problem if in an accident due to shutting off on the freeway and I can not exit the vehicle.I was told that the problem is in the (tipm) and that there have been many problems with this but there is no recall. This in my opinion is a huge safety concern.

The doors just started to not lock or unlock a few months back. They told me to change the tipm. I have put in well over $1000 an now they want another $500.

1 year old battery died, bought a new one everything worked fine for a month, then my evap system malfunctioned, bought new one had system pressurized. Ok everything is fine for about two months, lights flicker a little here and there, car doesn't turn over immediately, cd player shuts down on it's own, lost positrac in the rear, heater not warm unless over 2000 RPM, car still runs though. So battery dies just under 3 yeras later (still under warranty) odd.replaced free yay, only free thing in this whole endeavor. After replacing battery clockspring goes out, dammitt!!! replaced, not a week later lock fuses keep blowing. Found out alternator has a built in relay that if it goes wreaks absolute horror on computor, and entire elec. System, it even controls the light on your dashboard indicating that it has gone out, brilliant. Had I known this it could've saved many hours and close to $1,500. This should be fixed.

Car would not start after being parked for about 45 minutes. We guessed it was a battery, starter or alternator. Had towed to dealership and was advised that the tipm was bad and needed to be replaced. After further review, I see that I was a lucky one as the tipm has all manner of issues when it starts to go bad. The dealer is telling me I have to wait 3 weeks for a backordered part due to a national recall of other model years. This is going to cost an unreasonable amount in both repair and rental car costs.

The contact owns a 2008 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated that the headlights flickered, the horn activated independently, and the windshield wipers with wiper fluid independently activated. Additionally, the vehicle jerked and stalled. The vehicle could be restarted. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the technician diagnosed that the tipm needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Vehicle will loose power while at hwy speed. As if slamming on brakes dash lights light up as your seatbelt locks and you slam forward. Headlights will turn off while inside dash lights remain on. Must use brights to drive or pull over. Windows, seats move themselves. While vehicle is off and unattended. Sometimes while pulling in a parking spot car lunges forward. Sometimes while sitting at a red light it just powers off and must be restarted. Evidence of a leak somewhere can not be located. The leak has stained a little on the inside roof.

Heat decided to not work on the first 30 day w/ snow and ice. Passenger vents are blowing luke warm air, and the drivers side blowing cold air. Also, no air at all coming from the blower at the drivers feet. Not happy about this as I had read 100's of complaints about the blend door not operating properly on Jeep of all types. This is a $1000 fit, and there should be a recall on the blend door. This is an absolute outrage!
