While driving the vehicle the car started having various electrical problems. The wipers kept going on and off and all instrument lights kept going on and off.

The vehicle starts good no problems during the fist start of the engine on the day, my work is a follows I make several stops during the day with an approximated 30 min in between, later during the day vehicle stalls, several lights on dash board flush and move, I have to make serval attempts to start the engine vehicle continue to stalls, at this pints the vehicle has staid several occasions at the dealer and different mechanic per the dealer they dint now why the vehicle is doing this, per mechanic starter, and alternator good. So far I had replace the battery, computer and pay for multiple inspections, this is frustrating, I also noticed online re search multiple Jeep owners have the same complaint, any assistance is greatly appreciated. This cars tipm system is extremely faulty I've had it fixed 3 already and it still acts as of it is possessed. This happened on the freeway where the car started going off by it's self stalled and couldn't do anything about it. I almost died. There has been many complaints about this vehicles tipm system but Jeep refuses to recall them. Also the airbags do not deploy. This is a huge safety issue

Our 2008 Jeep Liberty was parked in the driveway. All of the sudden the horn began honking on it's own, the vehicle started, the alternator made the belt burn, and the windshield wipers would not shut off. All of this was happening with no key in the ignition and the vehicle was locked. When we tried to put the key in the ignition, the vehicle would not stop making the noises or shut off.

When I am driving my Jeep the parking break will randomly come on when I am driving down the highway or street. The heat shaft under my Jeep completely fell off while I was driving 30 miles per hour on a city street. The electric windows, locks and auto start frequently glitch out where they just do not work at all. The cruise control works only about half of the time and will not turn on at all the other half of the time.

Tipm failure in transit. Jeep stalled on roadway. All dash lights lit, and "no bus" on the odometer. Near collisions but lucky they managed to stop. 2008 Jeep Liberty limited. Is not open for a recall on the tipm replacement though all other years with same module are. '07 09' and later. Not safe. And potentially deadly.

My roof sky slider has been disconnected from the track that it connects to and will not stay on the roof without manual intervention. I currently have the roof taped down so it does not fly off while driving. With the slider being disconnected, it has caused many leaks to allow water into the inside of the vehicle, damaging the roof, floorboards, and has gotten into some of the electrical areas such as overhead lights above front dash. Initial disconnect happened while driving and skyslider was closed. It started to open up in the front right corner from wind pressure and without pushing the button to open it. Upon further investigation, it has been determined that the pins that keep the slider in place disconnected and will not connect back together. Currently front passenger side, rear driver side, and rear passenger side all have disconnected pins and the slider will not stay on the roof without intervention. I have contacted Chrysler and they said that there are no recalls for this issue. This is very much a safety issue as if I were to remove the tape holding the roof down, it would fly off while driving, putting myself and others in danger. Mechanical malfunction (and poor manufacturing in my opinion) is the main problem that has caused this issue. I had used the slider less than 10 times before this happened. I contacted insurance to open a claim and they said it would fall under mechanical malfunction and that was not covered in my coverage.

2008 Jeep Liberty limited is unlocking on its own which is causing a safety hazard. My son removed the fuse, the door has to be locked manually. The only door that does not lock is the rear tailgate. Vehicle is experiencing a tipms failure causing the door locks to not function along with sporadic events where all the gauges will go dead, all the warning lights will turn on, radio won't shut off, wipers turn on even when they are set to the off position. All of this occurs while driving the vehicle. Turning off the vehicle fixes everything except the door locks for a random period of time.

I started my car and my headlights flashed on and off about 3 or 4 times. After that happened I have been unable to get my headlights to stay on the just flash and shut off. The contact stated that the vehicle was driven on the passenger side because it was used as for postal deliveries. The vehicle was diagnosed by an independent mechanic who stated that the totally integrated power module failed. Roanoke motor company was contacted by phone at (309) 923-7171 and an appointment was scheduled to have the vehicle repaired, which was still pending. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 195,000.

Takata recall sunroof has leaked since I owned it in '10 cleaned drains N it hasn't helped...my windows fog up due to moisture in car N can't keep them clear! heater has tore up from water leakage....water in wiring has messed my computer system up....took it to mechanic N they fave me 3pgs of codes it was showing...N refused to work on it! concerned about mold mildew in vehicle from moisture! heat shield fail off 6 yrs ago while driving down 4lane! my 4wheel drive has gone out....I have several lites on my dash check engine ABS 4wheel drive...traction control....I can't rem. The others and my tire sensor went out rite after I bought it that let's U know U R air is low! my big concern is the water....I've gotten in my Jeep after a storm N there B 3in of water in my floor board! I'm concerned my cabin is goin to collapse!and the black mold with cause me harm! I spent all my saved money N paid cash for my Jeep when I bought it and can't afford another vehichle....I used my divorce settlement money to provide me what I thought was a reliable vehicle and I've got screwed! I can't afford another one! when driving the water will suddenly fall from cabin on U and drowned U scaring U shocking U.....this has nearly caused me to wreck! cuz U don't expect it to happen! wipers come on without turning them on....there's so much I can't think of it all

We have had numerous electrical issues with this Jeep which all come from thetipm and the ECM. We have replaced the tipm 3times now at over $1000 each time!!! this is the number one complaint on this vehicle and I have found thousands of complaints involving this part. Something needs to be done about this. I am going to try and start a class action lawsuit against Jeep seeings how they refuse to address this issue and make their customers pay thousands of dollars to fix the problem.

The mechanic also stated that the failures would occur with no key in the ignition. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired for the exact same failures back in 2016. The manufacturer stated that there was only a twelve month warranty on the original repairs performed in 2016. The failure mileage was 105,000.

I have several different issues with my 08 Jeep Liberty. The locks randomly lock and unlock. When I use the lock button on the transmitter, it'll unlock the doors sometimes right after or at some point when parked. The headlights randomly come on and go off when parked. The traction control light comes on intermittently while driving. The traction control system also randomly activates on dry pavement and even throws the front end out of alignment because it will brake one wheel. I've almost had several accidents because of this engaging. Also, when the traction/stability control engages there's a noise from the brake system followed by smoke at whatever wheel it's trying to brake. I took it into dealer and they replaced my front brakes and rotors and that hasn't fixed the problem. Now they are saying I need a new draft shaft, tie rods and a couple other front end pieces. I don't believe that's where the problems are coming from. It's a scary situation driving this because I don't know if I'm going to make it where I'm going because the steering can lose control because of the traction system. Also, it's developed a major leak in the hatch area by the top plastic pieces where it rains and the back floor looks like a swimming pool after it rains. I told the dealer but they have yet to tell me if they found out why it's leaking. I also replaced the blower fan and relay for the ac thinking that it will fix an issue where the air in the vents are barely blowing. No fix. Ac is weak. The heat works best when in motion. Heat will heat up while driving and I feel like I'm being boiled alive. Have to keep on high to get any air out of the vents, however. The transmission is clunky shifting and the fluid has been changed. Power steering is difficult to turn.
