I own a 2008 Jeep Liberty with 27000 actual miles. How could that be you ask? Because she sits in the garage collecting dust more than she gets driven. Why? constant horn honking (I've had 20 minutes episodes), wipers and fluid spraying. LOCKED OUT! Dealership can't diagnose because she won't do it on command! ONLY RANDOMLY! In my garage! Or while driving! RECALL TIPM!

My car has been honking and all the window wipers go off sporadically when driving. This has happened on the highway, in standstill traffic and stopped at a red light. It has happened about 4 times in the last 2 months. It is not only embarrassing but it makes us nervous that the issue would get worse and lead to an accident in the future. We took it to Pep Boys and were told they can't diagnose it. I then called Chrysler and they just told me to take it to a dealership. I did and the dealership didn't know how to fix it but sent us a quote for $3500 worth of other stuff we don't need fixed! My husband just picked up the car and it honked/window wipered 3 times in a 15 minute ride home. We are expecting our first baby any day now and are very nervous about the safety of the car. No one is willing to help at this point.

This issue has happened before but it was one instance and it never occurred again. Only recently it has started again and now this time it has happened multiple times. It seems to happen at random, my horn will start going off nonstop, front/rear windshield wipers go at max speed, some times the lighting on the dashboard panel will go wonky, lighting things up that shouldn't be lit like the different gear outlines when my car is still in drive. When I turn the car off the problem persists for a while after. Incredibly annoying and pretty scary because I have no idea what else could potentially happen.

EVERYTHING GOING NUTS. HORN BLEW AND WIPERS GOING. AFTER READING THE OTHER POSTS, THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH THESE TRUCKS. I LOVE MY TRUCK, HAVE HAD IT SINCE IT WAS NEW. I AM GOING TO HAVE A MAJOR ISSUE WITH FCA ABOUT THIS, THEY NEED TO RECALL
