My Jeep has also been acting like Christine, wipers and lights going off by itself, horn honking and wiper fluid spouting everywhere when the car haven't been even started yet!! Just unlocked with the key and all the vehicular poltergeist went berserk! Then the radio and air shuts off and the odometer stops working... I see many with same issue and I already replaced the computer twice. Jeep needs to do a recall on this...it's unsafe and unacceptable! Now I might have to sell a couple of organs on Ebay to take it to Jeep when obviously they should be held accountable for putting out such a crappy product.. I already had to replace the AC and the window mechanism on the driver doors. Shame, such a pretty truck that otherwise drives so nice😥

2008 Jeep Liberty with only 102,000 miles. My daughter's car. She started it and drove about 5 ft and the horn went off, lights all went on, wipers on, windshield sprayer on and it wouldn't stop. Luckily the guy next to her was an auto mechanic. Car wouldn't turn off even after disconnecting the battery. Car started smoking, too. AAA towed car to mechanic. Diagnosed a bad TIPM. After researching this on line, I found many complaints. Despite that I also saw the government rejected the petition to investigate millions of vehicles for this problem Plan to call Jeep/Chrysler corporate office and log a complaint.

2008 Jeep Liberty factory alarm is possessed! Been to the dealership twice now to have fixed; 1st time they said it needed scheduled maintenance and changed the spark plugs and something to do with the throttle body being cleaned or something? 2 weeks later, the alarm system went spastic again (I only clicked the unlock button on the key fob) and completely shut down my Jeep. Dealer towed it back to the shop and 3 days later said all they could find was the battery needed to be replaced. 3 days later (today), I tried to unlock the doors using the key fob, vehicle lights just flashed, tried it again thinking I hit the wrong button, lights again flashed. I unlocked the door manually and then it all started again; horn, wipers, lights, washer fluid......vehicle even turned on by itself! It would not go into gear until I put the key in the ignition and turned it to the on position at which point the gauges all came to life and I could put it in gear. After several attempts of hitting buttons on the key fob (holding them down, hitting in rapid succession, etc) I went and disconnected the battery. That didn't even solve problem, the alarm keep going and the vehicle stayed running. After about 10 minutes it finally all died. I waited 5 minutes and reconnected the battery, the alarm briefly sounded (as if it had been activated) but would not do anything when I tried to start it. I'm now waiting for the dealer to ~again~ come tow my Jeep back to the dealer! This is craziness to the extreme!

One year later, same problems occur as in 08/14. Horn blows, lights come on, wipers and washers come on doors lock by themselves. Take to dealer, can't locate problem. No codes show up.

The horn blows, wipers and washer goes off, headlights come on and the car bucks. This happened again one year later, brought to dealer again. Can't locate problem after 3 days. 3 days later happened again. Contacted dealer. 2 days later, same thing. Dealer says to leave car again, but unless they can get it to happen while someone is working on it, nothing can be done. No codes show up either. HELP!

This isn't the only problem - the blower motor doesn't turn off sometimes. Also the radio doesn't work - this Jeep seems like its possessed.
