Panoramic roof - will not close. Appears that passenger side track is not operating correctly and the top will not fully close and flaps in the wind. My vehicle is no longer secure as well as the annoyance of the flapping in the wind. Also, no way to secure during inclement weather which is causing staining of the interior around the roof.

Roughly two years ago while driving on a highway I noticed part of my sky slider moon roof started to have gaps of daylight in between it, I then noticed that the front part of my sky slider started to flip backward. When I noticed part of my sky slider was flipping backward I proceeded to get off the highway, knowing if it randomly started to flip backward it could catch wind and rip off completely hitting the vehicle behind me. I immediately drove it to the dealership to have them look at it, they basically told me this is a common problem and that it would be around $2500-$3000 to fix. I ended up taking it to a different auto shop to have it fixed at a much more reasonable price. Now, the second time happened just a few days ago, I was once again driving on the highway, (please note, I have not used this sky slider since having it repaired two years ago in fear that it would break again) and while my roof was closed I once again noticed that I could see day light between my car and my sky slider. Pulling off the highway I get out and check, only to notice that the two back ends of this roof had been completely broke off the track and had began to flap in the wind while driving. Now with fear of it ripping off completely and hitting the car behind me I am stranded. I have taken it to two dealerships since, to learn that Chrysler has discontinued making this feature, knowing the problems it has, however both dealerships told me the same thing, there was nothing they could do and once again I would need to put $2500-$3000 into fixing it, again! I'm concerned to re fix this vehicle and once again be driving on the highway when my roof starts to rip off, causing a safety hazard for anyone that might be on the highway at the time.

On the above mentioned date I was driving home from running errands and while doing so I had my sunroof open. While I was driving I decided to close my sunroof and when I did so it made a strange sound while closing. I then noticed that the sunroof had not closed properly and was still partially open. I contacted my insurance Agency who suggested I bring my vehicle to one of their garages to be inspected. Upon inspection, it was determined that this was indeed not covered under my insurance plan. I was refereed to you for possible assistance.

My Jeep Liberty does not defog properly. At outdoor temps below -13 C. it begins to ice up and will get to the point where you cannot see out of the side windows. It has been into the dealer six times. The last time they said they had replaced the entire heating system. This did not correct the problem. The engineers at Chrysler Canada told me the system is extremely sensitive to moisture; so if there are wet boots or a hockey bag in the vehicle the system will not function properly. Considering I live in northern Ontario this sounds a little strange to me. I did keep the recorded message from Chrysler costumer service.

2008 Jeep Liberty window regulator breakage
- Raleigh, NC, USA
I have 2008 Jeep Liberty. The problem 1) the defrosters are to centrally located and do not clear ice and snow off the entire windshield. 2) the front turning signals get covered with snow and need to be cleaned off everytime there is any snow. The snow lays on the front bumper and covers the turning signals. Both of these are hazards.

I am on my second front windshield for my 2008 Jeep Liberty. Within 2000 miles of driving my new Jeep, the front windshield developed a myriad of tiny "pock marks". the marks became so numerous that visibility began to diminish, especially with a strong sun glare. The windshield subsequently cracked at the 13000 mile point and was replaced by the dealership with a factory window. The new front window has approx 1000 miles on it and it developing the same marks. I do not work in an industrial environment and the Jeep is always garaged at home.

During cold weather conditions, there is an excessive amount of fog and or ice that builds up along both of the driver and passenger side a pillar. Due to the design of the dash defrost vents, air flow across this section of the windshield is insufficient making up to 25 percent of the windshield area non visible.

When it is very cold outside (10F or so) the defrost on for the front window of my 2008 Jeep Liberty does not defrost the window all the way and ice forms on the inside. You cannot see out the window, and with more then one person in the Jeep, it does not clear up all the way, no matter how long of a trip you take in the car. The window from the middle of the steering wheel to the a piller, does not clear up and you are forced to wipe off the frost by hand all the time. It is very hard to see and is unsafe.
