Liberty Sport 3.7L

  • Manual transmission
  • 47,495 miles

I bought this car used. I checked everything on the car except for, you guessed it, the Windows. I put the window down the next day and heard a clunk on the left passenger side. The window got stuck halfway down. I brought it to my mechanic on June 9, 2014. Literally one month to the day it broke again. This time the window fell all the way into the door. It's Saturday and the repair shop is closed until Monday. I have no way to keep the car secure until then. No travel or errands this weekend. This sucks. The irony is that I never use the Windows for fear of this happening.

I bought the car 33 days ago. 31 days ago the left rear window got stuck halfway down. 30 days ago I took it to the repair shop to fix it. It was $434.18. Today, the same window fell into the door panel. I can't get it out and my car is not secure. Since it's Saturday, I'm stuck with very limited use of my car for the weekend. The car is not secure. Cancelling my plans to go away in case it rains (Georgia weather during this time of year calls for rain and thunder storms just about every day). I also can't take my dogs to the kennel because they will jump out the open window-try keeping dogs in a car while driving a manual transmission (the crate is too big for the car). Am I upset? I can't put into words how upset I am.

Liberty V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,000 miles

Window just dropped. No signs beforehand, just dropped inside of the door. Not like normal electric window where it fell of track. Only way to fix is to buy complete assembly. Went entire summer with no driver side window.. Too expensive, over 300+ dollars to fix.

Liberty Limited 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 77,000 miles

This is the 3rd time my windows have malfunctioned. The front windows were the first to go which cost me about $850./each. Now the back windows are malfunctioning. Between the computer and the windows, it is spending more time at the dealer than in my driveway. I will never buy another American made vehicle.

This is the third time that I am replacing this one window...every window in the car has been replaced at least once, some times twice in the three years that I've owned it. It was okay when all the windows were replaced under warranty but it's just not acceptable any more.
