I have had my Jeep since it was new. In the beginning my radio would cut off or lock up and I had it tested and nothing was found. Then my espoff, 4WD, service, 4 wd low light would come on and go off. I took it in and was not charged because noting showed up. But the mechanic said he had heard of others had the same complaint. Then while I was driving at night at approximately 65 mph I started to roll my window up and the lift gate light came on and all the lights inside the vehicle came on and I could not adjust or turn them off. This has happened now 3 times and it is a definite safety concern when all the lights and a vehicle comes on while driving at night.

In 2009 I purchased a Jeep Liberty (2009), for the past several months my car was making a strange noise. I've had a diagnostic test done on my vehicle (came back fine), oil changes, engine flushed, filers, transmission checked, all fluids the hole nine yards. Still I could here this noise. In January of 2013, we've had to replace ball bearings, the sun roof jammed, I put in my back tail lights 3times keep blowing out, the door locks started to jam. On March 5, 2013, . I was driving on the freeway and the engine light came on, the car jerked as I continued, then it slowed down and this load noise started coming from under the hood of my truck. I got over into the far right lane and told my wife that the car started to go slow by it self. As I came into a parking lot and wanted to park my truck it jerk again, as I began to park my reverse went out, so I had to park in such away that I did not have to use my reverse to get out of a parking spot. I was taking my wife to a job interview with the secretary of states office ( what are the odds that happening to someone). My wife went to interview we took the service drive and some back streets to get to our home. I got up the next day to take it to the shop and the hold transmission had gone out and all the fluids were in our driveway. I don't have 100,000 miles on the truck nor is this truck five or ten years old. Why are all these things happening, this truck just turn4yrs old? we brought this truck 03/03/2009. Someone please tell me how your transmission just die and we've never had an accident, just the usual maintenance on the truck. The dealership said I did not purchase the powertrain warranty (100,000ml/10yrs.) to repair, will cost me $5,000 to get a new transmission. My job put us on 30hrs a week. Both left and right front turn signal/marker/parking lamp assembly/modules have suddenly and for no apparent reason are leaking and hold water/condensation. Therefore, resulting in reduce lighting, dim, or non-functional front turn signals. And the resulting exposure to water, and possible corrosion of electrical wiring, contacts, and lamps. Which, may indeed result in a system electrical short or perhaps possible electrical fire. A new 2009 Jeep, that has never been off-road nor in any kind of standing or deep water, with only 26+ K miles should not have a dual failure of the same component at exactly at the same time. Thank you.

Failure of 2009 (drivers side) rear brake light with only 17,000 miles. Have noted a number of same make and model car with same drivers side brake light out. Took it to dealer but due to cost, replaced blub myself. Was told by dealer it could also be an over load on the electrical circut causing premature failure of blub on just that one side. First new car in over 40 years I have had under two years with 17000 miles have just the one side brake light go out. Fearful of a bigger problem and possible collision from other cars if they fail to see my brake light.
